Hue Jackson and Todd Haley Fired

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I feel filthy even defending Hue. I hope he's fired at the end of the year. But look at it from his view point. He's coaching for his job.

If you were Hue, would you want to hang job hopes on Haley? I sure as hell wouldn't.

He's actually right. He should fire him, and take over. Do I think he'll do great! NO.

But it might be going from really, really sucking, to just really sucking. :chuckle:

I agree with this. Felt like Haley sandbagged to get Baker in. Felt like Haley sandbagged to get Hue fired. Insert it was me Vince .gif asap.

I wonder what Haley did to keep his job? Haley seems like a snake to me. Sabotaged to get the job.

We gone see once the play calling starts to change.

Yeah, I kind of get that feeling too. But if it frees us of Hue's incompetence, whatever.

Yeah obviously, and I said as much, but from everything I’ve read and inferred from the post game press conference, things are not rosy between Hue and Haley now. At all. So I think there’s a deeper level to those tweets

Good call, looks like you were right according to Brickman’s post

My dude text me and said Hue is fighting off Haley for his job and right now he's losing so......

Waiting to find out that Wylie was the mastermind behind everything :chuckle:

Maybe sandbagged to get Hue fired after Mayfield came in... but not to get Mayfield in. Taylor was incredibly bad... sand bagging was unnecessary, sadly.

He also came out and said there’s smoke to Baker pre-draft, if I recall correctly.
Yeah about as late as possible... I think people are forgetting how staunch he was that he had sources and it was Darnold. He was practically putting his rep behind it and speaking down to anyone who dared question him

Then like 12 hours before the draft he walked it back when everyone was saying it's Baker

He definitely had Mayfield as his QB1 throughout the whole process.

As far as the Darnold at 1 stuff... if you're going to discredit him for that prediction, you basically have to discredit every single NFL sports media personality because the predictions were like 90% Darnold 10% Allen during the predraft process.

Mayfield simply wasn't seen as a realistic possibility by the media until a couple of days before the draft.
They weren’t predictions. He wasn’t guessing. He was saying that he KNEW it was going to be Darnold because of his NFL connections. This wasn’t like a one time mention. This went on for MONTHS. You can minimize it all you want, but he put pretty much his entire name behind it. Then he was wrong and I’m not just going to brush it under the rug

It was like he had two entirely different playbooks.

So what do y'all think happened after that BAL game? Clearly it was something.
