I can’t personally think of another in-game 360 alley-oop. JR was on another level.

The original 360 dunk was done by Dr. J on a fast break, according to another player who saw it. I don't know if it was the NBA or ABA.

Dr. J invented a LOT of moves that are common today.

Now the double-pump dunk was invented before Dr. J. by Connie Hawkins. As it was described to me it was a triple-clutch dunk. He'd put the ball over his head, bring it down to his waist, do it again, and then dunk it. He called it "Three scoops with a cherry on the top."

Most of the board only remembers Larry Bird post back surgery. We also tend to only remember Kevin McHale after he broke his foot.

Those two guys were impossible to stop before their injuries. 1985/86 Celtics should have been illegal.
