Indians @ Angels

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This team is so locked in. They can't control luck, but the way they are playing, they'll be giving themselves every opportunity to win the WS.

Holy shit that was a good play by Gio.

Didn't get to see Miller pitch, was his velocity okay?

I feel like a mom asking or something.

Not sure on Olson's career, and lazy to look, but a win last night, and a save today, are those his career 1st?

I pointed it out at the time, but Cody Allen was only sitting at 92-93 with his fastball last appearance. I think I saw him hit 94 once. But they hit him hard, including that HR to Upton.

Hoynes asked Francona directly postgame if Cody was injured at all, and he said no. Francona's been talking about the importance of setting up the pitching for the postseason, and how he values that even over home field in the AL. That's what he pointed out again postgame in regards to giving Allen the day out. Could see more of this type of thing with the back end guys from here on out.

This team has reached new heights of dominance.

Do you have proof? Because that goes against everything that's either being said, written or put into action.

Salazar himself said in pre-game that he's not expecting to be in the playoff rotation. Then Hoynes wrote that Tito worked Salazar into the rotation as the 6th guy to give the starters an extra day of rest. Seeing as he had a pitch count today, I'm not really sure how you can possibly start him in a playoff game.

Makes zero sense.

Hey, I agree with you. I'm just telling you what Hamilton said today. Maybe he was going off what Tito said on Tuesday, I don't know.

Hamilton said the ideal scenario would be for Salazar to pitch well today, have his arm feel good tomorrow, then get another start before the end of the year. Then if he pitched well in that (and presumably went deeper into the game), they'd look for him to be the 4th starter in the playoffs.

Now I have no idea if today's start was good enough or if he'll pitch again in the regular season or anything else, but the way I interpreted it was IF the Indians are going to use one of Clevinger-Salazar-Tomlin trio out of the bullpen in the playoffs, they're most comfortable with it being Clevinger.

In my opinion, it sounds like it's a "4th starter or off the ALDS roster" scenario for Salazar.

You said Tito said that about Salazar, which confused me.

Thanks for clarifying. Obviously Hammy saying that changes the meaning....

Im not saying CBBI is wrong, but how in the fuck does Salazar end up the 4th starter? Here is how i rank the indians starters

Kluber
Cookie
Bauer/Clevinger
Clevinger/Bauer
Tomlin

Salazar

How the flying fuck does Salazar a guy that has been injured all year fit into that rotation? there is no proof he can go more than 2 or 3 innings and i trust Bauer and Clevinger a hell of a lot more than Salazar, plus quite frankly they have earned it. I dont even know if i have Salazar on the damn post season roster, much less make him the number 4 starter
