As much as we give Shaw a lot of shit (and many times well deserved) two of those hits were golf shots on good pitches. The first one started low in the strike zone and dropped, the batter just threw his bat down and made contact. Second one and Philips hit were just good hitting. The Philips one hung up there but he missed two similar pitches. Now it will come down to Cody.

Watching Shaw pitch gives me a freaking heart attack but then i look at his stats for the last five years and I kinda in shock of how good he really is when everyone hates him......

He's a consistently average player on a well above average team always pitching in high leverage situations.

It doesn't help when he has the worst ERA of any reliever with at least 25 IP on the team.
