Isaiah Mobley: 2023 SL MVP

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am pointing out foot speed matters. But, Isaiah is 6'10.
He measured 6'8'' barefoot at the combine. That means he's way too small to guard NBA centers with his terrible vertical, and he obviously doesn't have the foot speed to guard NBA forwards.

I understand why people are trying to speak Isaiah's NBA role into existence, but it's just not looking good. Let's hope for the best. This is a guy who really, REALLY needs to maximize his body to make it in the League.

Physically speaking, what does a guy like Draymond have that Isaiah doesn't?

Draymond is more athletic and has crazy long arms.

Many on here liked Draymond if i remember correctly. He was taken in the early 2nd round. And while Isaiah is a mid 2nd rounder, Draymond is why you take someone like Isaiah and see if you can coach him up and he uses his high b-ball iq and good shooting to become a valuable player.

The chances are stacked against him a bit, but a few of the 2nd round picks will work out, no reason one of those isnt a cav or even Mobley

One good thing about him here is it should help with Evan having more confidence in speaking up more becoming the leader of this team.

Big men don't look great in Summer league often. We will see more later. Hopefully that shot gets some range on it. He is going to have a harder time adjusting than Ochai

Isaiah Mobley may never be much of a contributor with the Cavs, but he's doing pretty well in the G League. He's averaging 22.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game in his 10 games in the G League, while shooting 38% from 3 pt and 53% overall. He scored 24 points on Tuesday in the Vegas showcase.

Honestly that is better than i thought he would do over there as a rookie. Big men in the g-league can dominate because there are so few good ones, but that is more than dominate numbers, tells me he has a chance to contribute at some time on the Cavs as a back of the real roster type guy. He was basically a bought 2nd round pick, even without the connection to Evan, solid risk for sure. Its not like he will ever be bad for team chemistry so a risk worth taking. Wade and Lamar are working out, no reason not to take these type of risks, seems we finally have a staff that can actually help develop these types of players.

I see him as a G-League Jocic type center.. He has Size, Range, good vision and a high BBIQ.. Raw athleticism is not there..

The world of message board comps for home team end of bench players is a truly wild one…

He called him a g-league Jocic, which is i get the point...23 points, 9 rebs, 3.5 assists, 1.5 blocks...he fills up the stat sheets in the g-league...he wasnt calling him a NBA Jokic.

Jokic is a far better passer even though iMobley is a good passer for a big man, Jokic is insane

Bally sports is playing the Charge game right now featuring Isaiah Mobley
