We will see if IT has enough to overcome the fact that when a free agent comes and puts on a Cavs uniform, it becomes the anti-superman suit and they lose all abilities they once had.
It does seem to be that way. Deron Williams Shawn Marion come to mind. Still early to evaluate the new additions this year. The younger player people include is Kevin but I'm not one of them. The guy in Cleveland has similar 2pt% 3pt% and efg%. It's nearly identical with his career shooting.

Thomas unlike Love can create his own shot similar to Irving. He doesn't need others to generate offense. He should transition quickly

There is one other thing I will add. Why I don't think we will see the anti-superman effect.

Thomas has played on 3 teams in his 6 years in the nba. Even though last year was special for him he has always been a very good shooter.

What he will bring on offense will be the difference obviously. We already give up wide open threes and easy drives in transition. We also struggle with teams that move the ball, so if teams decide to stagnate their offense and slow down their pace to attack IT that’s actually to our advantage sadly.

I just hope IT can build something with Love where he pops for midrange jumpers or threes (hopefully shoots more efficiently). Pushing Love to the third option will help him as well. IT won’t be scared of LeBron which is great because he’s an extremely confident player. IT is genuinly liked in the league (Gordon Hayward comment illustrated this) so I feel like his more direct approach compared to the passive approach of LeBron MIGHT suit some guys better. The chemistry he has with Crowder will be useful as well. I’m hoping they stole Brads offense and they’re waiting until IT returns to run it .

Let's hope this stays. If it doesn't, I will officially start calling them the Kavs with the "K" for Kryptonite.

Problem with Thomas is from multiple aspects and spells doom for the Cavs..

#1 Contract: Will try to prove his worth.

#2 The need to be the savor: Team sucks, coach sucks, results suck. He will try to do far to much.

#3 Playing with LeBron factor. Always takes awhile but considering he’s the 2nd best player it will take quite awhile..

Now what I’m intrigued with is if his tenacity and passion will take over the team ? Can he inspire the other guys to play with some heart and hustle ? Or will that lazy disposition most players play with on a veteran lead LeBron team take over ?

Atleast he back to running again. My fear about how this team has been...is they rush IT through his rehab and goes back to square one all over again. Can't rush him back. The season is early yet, 2 months away for his debut.

LOL. Did it right as Hardaway was walking by too.

IT's got juice. He's got that competitive trash talk, go at you mentality. Going to be such a boon for us when he returns. Right about the time LeBron is ready to retire Chill Time for the season too.

IT is an amazing cheerleader, I love watching him smiling and dancing on the bench all game. :chuckle:

Funny thing is that when we losing and playing badly, he really looks disappointed. But everytime we get back in the game he starts going crazy. It's kinda fun to see.

I think I have watched the Cavs bench with Cedi and IT more than the actual games. They show more emotions than the players on the floor.

You can see why Boston fans loved him so much even though he’s a flawed player. He loves his teammates, he’s all in about winning, he isn’t afraid to mix it up with the opposition. I love seeing this guy cheer for his teammates the way he does.
