Its too damn cold Saints @ Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Saints attempted 15 passes

The Browns 31

Gameplan!

Chad and Callie need to answer some questions about why our WRs have been so bad.

People were bitching about the play calling all game. Prior to that drive when Chubb ran for 19 yards we had 59 total rushing yards on 22 attempts but people were screaming to run the ball? Our running game got owned today.

Amari Cooper (love him) had 3 huge drops today. yes he slipped on that first TD but he has to make that play for his QB.

Njoku had 2 big drops today. One on 3rd down and one for a TD.

DW4 had a bad game but he missed DPJ on 3 throws that should've been 1st downs and he just flat out refused to pickup 1st downs with his legs.

This tit for tat like the play calling is what's holding us back is stupid. The play calling isn't getting Teller and Pocic blown up on the line of making Cooper, DPJ, and Njoku drop wide ass open passes, or causing DW4 to refuse to take yards on the ground with his legs.

That's not a strawman. It's a fact. We saw it.
It's a straw man to point to the two dropped plays at the end of the game and say, "see, the playcalling was fine!"

You're smarter than this, Los.

The playcalling was bad most of the game.

If you're expecting Watson or any other QB to drop a pass into a bucket with 25-45 mph gusting winds at his back, that I would say you should prepare to be disappointed.

This is excuse making.

It’s strange that neither resulted in a touchdown. That’s like 20 consecutive times these high percentage plays didn’t work! What could be the missing element…

The receivers catching the fucking ball?

Bitching about play calling when your $230M QB makes 2 TD throws that hit the receivers in the hands on the final drive is an agenda driven take.

Own up to it. DW4 did not have a good game today but he made 3 TD plays that his receivers couldn't convert. That's 3 TD's that we got a total of 3 points out of.

How is that an issue with play calling? Those play calls were all TD plays. The receivers have to catch the fucking ball.
My issue with the offense was not play calling but execution. Deshaun did have a number of drops that probably wouldn't have been there if not for the conditions. If film proves that there was a checkdown on the 4th and 2 that shouldn't have been, then that's not on Stefanski.

There was a lot of barking about this week about the Browns needing a dome. I don't think a dome changes things (and frankly the Browns Stadium is fine enough as is, only if it were kept up to FedEx field "standards" would I consider scrapping it).

The weather worked against the Browns today (a couple of the misses, the INT, the bogus holding call, Cooper's endzone drop).
I think this was a poor example of game management from Stefanski again, a decent game from the defense (who were handed a shitty hand more than once).

Still get Woods out of here. The box should have been in whenever Taysom "the actual RB masquerading as QB" Hill was in the game. those plays were the ones that turned the game for the Aints.

Good to see Pocic back though.

Probably another L against the Commanders. Kind of need Browns and Patriots to be 4th place so that they meet next season for agenda purposes.

Amari Cooper's wide open dropped TD was in the 1st quarter. We had less than 50 rushing yards at halftime. What are you suggesting? That we run the ball no matter what or that our receivers and $230M QB actually make a passing play?
