Did a nice job of battling against gobert, but he does a lot of flopping too. Would love to have a center on our team that has opponents pushed around. Good he’s getting to go against physical centers before the playoffs. Seems every center is just cooking in here and pushing him

Jarrett Allen just had a long interview with Rick Kamla and Amin Elhassan on NBA Sirius Radio. He was very honest and direct in his answers to questions and talked about how the team has been talking about the Knicks series all year and how they were beaten physically.

Kamla: “So what are you going to do differently this year?”

Allen: “Throw the first punch.”

tell me I’m wrong, but he’s not showing up in the playoffs. Too nice. Why resistance and he’s pushed form the block to the half court line. I’m not talking about his numbers, I’m talking about showing up. Hope I’m wrong.

Yeah, but he hasn't missed a game since Nov 1. Where are the Cavs now if he was as soft as most of his teammates (sans Niang, a man's man)? Get off his shit.

You were defending him before last years playoffs. Yes, he’s a good regular season player. Top 5-10 center. We’ll see in the playoffs.

I'm really frustrated watching Allen as this is EASILY the best of his seasons with the Cavs. There are weaknesses in his game to be sure, but overall, he is also easily a cut above many centers in the NBA. I'd certainly have him over the ever-overrated Myles Turner (for example). Given with the injuries on the team, and the offense sinking in the mud, the "2 bigs" excuse is slowly washing out to sea.

I don’t think Allen defense is that good, not top 3 in the NBA level. Maybe you all have numbers that shut me up, but I don’t look at Allen and think he’s a top 3 defender in the league this year.

JA's hand was clearly a problem last night. With DG it's the face. With JA it's him banging his hands on the rim.

Jarrett Allen is a veteran on this team. He's supposed to be the tone setter. his shitting his pants routine continues. literally years of this garbage.

1 year ago in playoffs.

2+ years ago during the Klay Thompson return game

Allen worked on his strength all off-season and is putting in the best season of his career. The parallel is pretty clear. I don't think he's going to lose that strength, it was an investment in the prime of his career. As a true center, I think he's still a starting level contributor six seasons from now. Bigs need more time to develop but can hang on longer, barring injuries.
