Joe Flacco: 2023 Comeback POY

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Is the Josh Dobbs trade looking bad right now? :conf (11):

With perfect hindsight yes of course.

In the moment, DTR had outplayed him and the Browns didn’t really want to carry 3 QBs, though that looks like a big mistake now. However, let’s see how DTR does this weekend. He has faced two of the best defenses so I think things should only get a little easier. Plus each start he is going to feel more comfortable. Glad we have Flacco though.

Testaverde was 30 years old when he came to the Browns, not 38, not even close

I couldn't disagree more. Joe Flacco is a Vinny Testaverde impersonator, just younger. They are both throwback, big armed statues in the pocket from Jersey. I'm also fairly certain they can both do the Stayin' Alive Travolta dance on demand, beginning to end.

Testaverde was mobile compared to who he ended up replacing in Kosar, lol.

But sure if it makes you feel better, Flacco is old Testaverde, but then again, Testaverde himself is old Testaverde, lol

And Grossi continues to be the king of the dumb questions.

DTR is a 5th round rookie that went from being happy to be drafted and getting to learn in the NFL to after injury and poor play from the 2nd string qb to starting for a playoff contending NFL team. Pressure is putting on the helmet and uniform right now. What is not pressure is bringing in a vet qb to help him and the whole QB room.

What a dumb fucking question, lol

Can Flacco hold the Samsung tablet? Can he lead a team down the field with 10-20 yard throws without turning it over if DTR is injured or falters?

Hopefully DTR gets better every week and Flacco can be Uncle Joe mentoring from the sideline and in the film room. The FO doesn't want Jameis Win... I mean PJ Walker throwing for 250+ yards and three picks.

Plenty left in the tank…

I have to say I love the Flacco signing. I think he's the best available backstop if it looks like DTR can't get us where we need to go for any reason. I'm not giving up on DTR though, give him every logical chance to succeed.
