Anyone else skeptical as to the severity of this injury

I just don't trust those 76ers... They're almost as much of draft=love=life believers as the Boston Assets!!!Knowing his injury history, no.
I assume you are suggesting they are shutting him down to tank, but I don't think that's the case at all here. They're already in the top 5 even with Embiid playing, and they just moved 2 of their better players at the deadline. Even if he did play, they'd still end up in the 4 or 5 spot for the lotto IMO.
But really...he got seriously hurt on a minutes restriction with no back-to-backs...that's not good...

Serious Oden vibes with this guy.
So much talent, but a body that can't keep him on the floor.
Random, unrelated thought, but Brandon Roy was a damn good player. It's a shame he had the knee problems. I remember that playoff game against Dallas where he put everything out on the court and looked like a top-5 player by scoring 18 points in the fourth quarter.Expect he's way better than Oden ever was.
It's unfortunate. His knees remind me of Byunm's knees. Or Brandon Roy.
I feel like even if he has a couple killer years, his career will ultimately get cut short.
Really sucks because he was having an unprecedented impact on Philly winning games as a rookie. Like, super elite type of impact there.
With good knees, he's probably a future MVP/perennial 1st team all NBA/ best player in the league type of player.
Can't we build this dude a bionic knee or something? Don't we have the tech for that by now? We deserve 10 years of 75+ games+playoffs, 38MPG, Joel Embiid.
So My fiance went to high school where he now coaches. It helps he got some absolutely fantastic players to transfer to that school so will be interesting to find out how good of a coach he actually is, once the star recruits stop coming. That said interesting news from that area. the porter brothers who are each top recruits, one of which had already signed his LOI to go to u of Washington are now up for grabs. Despite having a top 5 recruiting class uwash just fired their basketball coach of 15 years. Something smells fishy, it should be interesting what happens. You dont just fire your head coach of that long bringing in a ridiculous recruiting class for nothing. My guesses are he got caught doing someone or something he wasnt supposed to, a booster offered a shit ton of money, and/or the plan to make a run at brandon roy to coach.Random, unrelated thought, but Brandon Roy was a damn good player. Roy could have really been one of the great NBA wings, but those knees have made him a damn good coach.
I'm not sure why he's talking so much shit right now? When you can't stay healthy, it seems kinda dumb to run your mouth about a pre-season game?
Imagine a healthy Embiid being drafted by the Cavs and having him play with Lebron in my fantasy land.
God damnit.
He is talking shit because he is a huge 7'3 dude with a huge dick, I would talk shit too.
It was clear he was the best prospect in that draft. Thankfully the Clinic doctors flagged his injuries. In retrospect, essentially taking Kevin Love with the first pick was the right move. We would have two titles right now if not for Olynyk.
YEah that 2014-2015 was in the bag even with only Kyrie being healthy.. we had complete control of the 1st game with the starters in. The only reason we dropped the lead time and time again was because of our miserable bench at the time.
James Jones and Mike Miller getting significant minutes is a killer.
I do believe we overpaid for Love and now that you see the price of disgruntled stars it makes you wonder.. not that it matters because GSW changed the landscape of the league and lowered the value of impact players around the league, but still.
Love never came close to the impact that he was advertised to give the Cavs, especially on the biggest stage relative to the price that was paid at the time. Unfortunate really. GSW just came out of nowhere.
