Both here and on Reddit, I've mostly been disappointed in how people have relished in the possibility of dumping McRae.

I don't care what anyone says, he was part of a team that ended the drought. To me, he's a part of Cleveland sports royalty til he's dead and I'm sad to see him go... Even if the call is a no-brainer from a basketball perspective.

I wish him nothing but the best.

He's good enough to be in the most elite league in the world but not good enough to be a real contributor, at least at this point in his career. Such is the lot of most guys who make it to the show. The pay is good and he'll have memories for the grandkids. Best wishes to him.

I feel like Lue and Griff will wish him luck and hopefully give him a list of things to work on. Then tell him to keep working on his game and if no one picks him up, that he will have a spot on the Cavs summer league. I bet the Charge will pick him up if he doesn't get a shot on a NBA team.

I agree and I feel like the Clippers could be a great place he could go to. I do like the guy but he has no place here as he needs to be free. I am sure he will find a home.

Feel bad for the guy. Like @-Akronite- said in his post, he was a part of the team that ended the drought and will always be a part of that legacy. Plus, he seemed like a decent dude, so it makes it tougher knowing he'll get the short end of the stick, especially when you compare him to the guy he couldn't beat out (Liggins) and the guy coming in (Bogut).

But at the end of the day, business is business. I really hope he ends up sticking with someone, but that seems unlikely given his defensive shortcomings.

Just how I feel had some impressive games here but his defense and his ability to play team ball lacked. He can score but being asked to do anything else made him useless. He will find a new team The Clippers for a contender and maybe the Kings or 76ers to get some playing time.
