JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The difference for our team between good JR and bad JR is monumental.

He should benefit greatly from the new line-up on both ends. More shots hes used to, more help defensively at the rim.

He also had 4 steals, and he would have had a 5th if he didn't overrun a pass that he read in the 1st quarter. Had a hand on it, but couldn't grab it.

So this dude puts his best two games of the year together back to back.
I’d love to hope he could continue this type of production...

Going to need to see more.... Not buying in to his play just yet.

Going to post this for old times sake though.

You forget how lethal he can be for the Cavs when he is going good.

George Hill and Avery Bradley arent going to match the best of JR!

He’s actually making shots now? Wow

If it turns out all he needed was Crowder out of the starting lineup and the old gang sans Kyrie back together again that would be so JR LOL

I honestly think JR and Crowder don’t like each other on or off the court, but I don’t think anybody expected the impact of the change to be this big.

Yea the reports of locker room strife basically identify these two over everyone. I just don't understand how it could make THAT big of a difference for JR. But *shrugs* The Pipe giveth and The Pipe taketh away.

Glad hes hitting his shot again but that is because he worked on his shot and form again. Has nothing to do with the line up change. And ofcourse it makes a world of difference if he scores 15 points or 0 as a starter. He shot like shit in the stretch beforw these last 2 games though i think it was something like 4 or 5 for 30. If he csn keep this up he should be the last one to be traded out of the tt crowder shumpert it trade unit.

Hate has been deserved but he's shooting .349 which is almost his career average.
Career 3P% 0.373 according to basketball-reference.com, but he has a large variance year-to-year, 0.347 and 0.356 his first 2 years with NY then 0.394; with Denver 0.338 sandwiched in between 0.397 and 0.390 ... not just streaky during the year, but streaky years too. Dude can really shoot when he's on, hot and cold is his pattern.

So, is it decided yet how we feel about JR's defense? How would we rate him as a defender?

I agree.

To digress for a second, .35 vs .37 is a grand total of 2 points per 100 shots. People get too caught up on insignificant disparities.

Would still love to see some data on consistency for players to determine how much you can count on a guy. Jr's .37isn't another guys
