JR Smith might've been awful on defense and got a horribly timed flagrant, but at least he shot 0-7 on offense tonight.
 
I got no prob wit J.R., he’s a local hero and he tried to whoop that trick Average Al.

Love got pushed while in the air on a subsequent play. LeBron gets pushed while in the air all the time. JR didn't bother to make it look accidental, that is the only difference. He made it obvious, on purpose I think, but then again maybe it was a patented JR-Bonehead moment, hard to tell.
 
Fairly typical that the one shot he did make was a one handed, falling sideways insouciant flick from the right corner, after the whistle.

Bingo.. I understand giving certain guys a little longer leashes than others... but jesus not to that extent. Once JR makes a couple mistakes he compounds it into about 5-6 in a short time period. He needs yanked out when he starts that nonsense.

Put him back in the next quarter and try again.

His teammates felt the same way. Watching the clip again, look at TT's reaction when the push happens. He throws up his hands as if to say "WTF, Dumbass". When Smart is pulled away Love pats him as if to say "Yeah, you're right".

They were only down 6 at the point of the flagrant. I'm not going to say it was a turning point, but if they had a comeback in them, the free points killed it. And it was 100% on Lue for playing him at that point (And IIRC he had just hoisted an ill-advised three at the other end).
 
He looked great in the Toronto series but this round, just awful, 26 points through 5 games on a Lonzo with a blindfold 23%.
 
2 of the game were downright, super disgusting, sickening fecal matter poo jobs.....yet, he will get 30 minutes no matter what the next game.
 
I wish this crackhead gone with Lue together. Hood at least is not cancer of the team and he should getting chance to show what he can do. This man, this man is just stupid, idiot, no brain, no basketball IQ, none, zero, nothing.
 
Dude needs to retire. I cannot believe we let Wade go bc JR was emotional about losing his bff.

Yes because wade was so consistent in the playoffs for the heat right? Same with people saying hood was playing better in the few minutes he played. As if people have forgotten what hood did in the previous games ... or more accurately ... didnt do.

People get too caught up in the moment. Our players are simply hella inconsistent and lue needs make adjustments accordingly .. which is not that easy in his defense.

People also seem to have forgotten that this roster was only complete once the playoffs started. There hasnt been any consistency for anyone all season long. I still stand by it that it is unfair to expect lebron to go to the finals with a roster that had 2 major overhauls in one season with only 1 other allstar. I also think people should give some of the players a bit of a break, expecting them to go to the finals in a quarter of a season with this team with 0 consistency. But i understand its hard since we are 2-3 in the ECF and want to make it to the finals.
