damn, if I were Perkins I'd be home kicking up my feet for some well-deserved rest after thirteen years, three Finals appearances, and a ring, not toiling away in the G-league or whatever. He's made like $60 million in total earnings over his time in the NBA, go to a beach and drink mai-tais and start that process of getting fat like old frontcourt players do. I guess it must be fun to play enforcer and level basketball players with football blocks because he seems to enjoy it so much he'll do it for practically nothing.

No. We'd still have to cut someone to sign him to the roster. Seeing as to what we just gave Atlanta to take RJ/Kay, not going to happen.
He signed a G League deal, not a two-way.
This is purely about us doing him yet another favor to allow him to showcase for another squad. One last hurrah.
He wants to get back in the NBA and is willing to work for it.
Personally, I'm shocked he hasn't taken Lue's offer to begin his coaching career. That's the logical path. And pays better, too.

I would have wished he took the coaching job too. I was hoping he would to Buffalo Bill on Tristan Thomson.

Perkins is absolute garbage. Guaranteed to commit 6 fouls in 5 min or less. Most of them moving screens that at this point he still hasn’t learned from.
