Maybe Marion will go back to his old Phoenix number, 31.

He also wore 31 in Toronto and at UNLV. He wore 7 in Miami because Ricky Davis had 31 when he arrived and he never switched it back after Davis left. And Terry was wearing 31 in Dallas. His twitter handle is @matrix31. I tend to believe that's his preferred number.

YEEEEEEEEESSS!!!!
So happy right now!!! Love finally here!!! Welcome Kevin Love!!!

Headed out for the rest of the day to spend some time with the lady. She's relieved that Safari Season is finally over. What a ride it's been since the night of the draft lottery. And the fun part hasn't even started yet.

A few RCF things I can't wait to return to:

-First Ben post detailing some of the crazy things he heard from reporter sources during this whole offseason including a hopefully a detailed "Menu" breakdown
-First Maximus post detailing his thought on the trade, the offseason and what he;s heard from the higher level of the Cavs org.(besides high pitched screams of elations and loud high fives. Is Nick Gilberts Bowtie framed and hung on a wall somewhere in Independence?)
-First W&G post detailing his thoughts from the scouting and coaching background of the things this team will be capable of on offense and what type of team defense will best suit their current roster

Everyone celebrate this weekend. Hopefully the Browns and Indians give us some stuff to smile about later tonight

I think it's interesting that he'll be wearing number zero, especially since Thurmond consented that he could wear #42.
He's probably really confident the Cavs will eventually retire his number, and he'll want it to he his own.

It's not going to sink in till we're a few weeks into the season.

This is not a return to the 2008-2010 seasons. This is the place we dreamed of getting to roster wise during those great seasons. Except back then we probably just wanted one other true star talent next to LeBron.

Although winning the championship is the ultimate goal and measurement, in terms of talent, roster, and entertainment, this is far beyond any level our organization has ever been at before.

If all contracts were abolished today and the entire NBA was redrafted, I have no doubt that 3 of the players on our roster today would be amongst the top 20 picks, possibly all amongst the top 15.

(I believe LeBron would be drafted #1, Love in the 12-16 range, and Kyrie in the 13-20 range)
I would have settled for Dion, Miller, and Marion as "running mates" in those years. Now we not only those three, but Kyrie, AND Kevin Love? Is this real life?

Now I am not exactly happy about what we sent out, but it is fantastic it was the Miami pick, not Memphis. Sad to see Wiggins go, hopefully he doesn't become a great player.

I guess we found him!
