Kevin Love Trade Ideas

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Thats maybe a bit too much :) Love + asset for Cousins might do the trick at one point in the season if Cousins become uncoachable again...
What I can't understand is what are the Kings' doing and I am sure 99% of the BB lovers are the same. I mean they want to trade Gay + McLemore + Koufos, all pretty nice or with potential players, cuz they signed: Temple + Barnes + Tolliver + an unknown Greek for their second unit. Guess they want to tank which would be ok if they had their draft picks but they don't till 2019 and Cousins could have left by then....Talk about a franchise without direction!

The problem is the Kings FO is so stupid. I have no idea why some teams like this would not trade Cousins to any team. He is in a contract year with an exploding cap still to come and yet... Well.

At the same time the "Greatest team of all time" needed Durant? I mean WTF? So the kings won't trade a player and part for a player who might want to be there? Really nothing makes sense but to see the Warriors crumble that they need Durant to save them is pathetic. Funny how this NBA works these days. Hey got to keep it interesting right?

Yup Kings' FO might be the worst in the game (former Wolves FO set the tone at one point and Lakers might try to compete with them now) but for Durant, thats different! As GSW FO, you have the opportunity to get him, you just DO IT...hell we were talking here about trying to get him! I hate this move and the fact that it changes the whole landscape but as a FO, if you get the chance, you seize it!

Well yeah of course but that means he will hide behind Curry. LeBron did the same thing but he was a much better player than Durant. To be honest if not for LeBron those Heat teams with Bosh are not title winners. I have no issue with Durant doing what he did but man... history repeats. As for Durant he is like a lost kid everywhere he goes as LeBron wanted to be the man. So yeah that makes Durant a big coward to hide and the other coward the NBA wants. I wonder how Vegas will handle this.

But they still will be an amazing foe to beat...harder than what it was last year with the score at 699-699 with one minute left after 7 games...thats tough!
All of that is why we come to the KLove trade ideas to see how we can counter that move...without it, we would just talk about incremental improvement with our 2nd unit while the Durant to GSW move make us all wonder what to do to beat them.

p.s: the winners are the ones writing History so even if we, fans of other teams, will try to diminish the accomplishment, if GSW wins, they will be the one in History and 10-20 years from now, no one will call Durant a coward or other things.
BUT if Cavs beat them as is, Lebron climbs to Jordan's status and the Cavs become the leader of the Rebellion and the true ray of hope! lol

A Love for a Cully-Stien and Cousins deal I might actually do. I cooled on a Love for Boogie one ON one deal. So yeah I would ask for something else because to be honest at this point Love is the better player.

Umm? Did you proof this before posting?

As the infamous @bukdow once said, "You listen to me, you ****ers", a trade for KLove is just not happening.

We just won a ***king NBA Championship with him as a third option after only two years together as a team. He's absolutely going no where anytime soon.

Get ***king used to it!

People continue to have these trade ideas with Love going out and some young rookie or 1 year guy comes back.

Just isn't happening. Unless Love brings in a proven star, he is going nowhere.

Also, Westbrook for Love isn't happening. Just can't see why OKC does it, unless it's a three way and they get young players and picks. If you get a third team like Boston to take Love and give up the farm and every asset they have, maybe.. Otherwise, not a chance.

If Westbrook leaves after this season anyway why wouldn't they take Love? at least they get a star on a long contract for someone who's gone next year anyway.

No team is going to give up the farm & a shit load of assets for a 1 year rental lol, without a guarantee Westbrook will sign with them nobody will do it, Also do you really see him signing with the likes of Boston? I don't.

So actually it makes a ton of sense to get Love for Westbrook for OKC if you know hes leaving, I also think that Westbrook will sign here long term just to go at Durant/Warriors every year.

And by the same exact sentiment, if Westbrook were to come here and leave after a year???

You can't get an actual guarantee from a player and just take their word for it (*cough Carlos Boozer cough*).

I know people would like to see him here just based on his insane talent, even if he doesn't fit on our team in any way, shape or form. Hell one of the great things about having Love as our third option is we actually control how often the ball goes to him and we don't have to worry about him forcing shots and wasted offensive possessions with him being a PF. That would be a whole new issue with Westbrook, who is always in control of the offense. There's really no way him and Kyrie can actually coexist, let alone when you got the greatest player in the world who should also have the ball in his hands the majority of the time as well. It just doesn't make any sense.

If the time comes when we may actually look to trade Love, it's going to be to actually improve our team and answer a weakness we have. Not add a piece where we already have a franchise superstar and be more redundant.

why wouldn't OKC do that?

Unless you think OKC is winning the title this year you need to move Westbrook. He literally "emphatically" said he isn't interested in a contract extension/renegotation.

He gone. Getting an old cap max deal for a guy who can be your #1 option, is under control for 3 years, and pairs really well with Steven Adams? Yeah, you do that without blinking.

Yeah....I'm of the opinion that OKC would be willing to trade Westbrook AND potentially something else for Love.

To get back a player of Love's caliber, with team control for 3 years, is a pipe dream for OKC in my opinion....when assessing the likelihood that he leaves for nothing.

If they were offered something like Love, they would immediately accept it.
