Mark Berman

The Knicks have owned the Cavaliers, beating them in six of the last nine meetings. If the Knicks make the playoffs, they would love a seventh seed, avoid Detroit and get the second-seeded Cavaliers, whom the Knicks visit tonight.
"It will be interesting if that's the playoff matchup," Isiah Thomas said.

Of course, after last night's devastating 92-86 loss to Portland, don't count on it.

"Some teams kind of have your number, get you in the right spot," Thomas said of the Knicks' success against Cleveland. "With us, Charlotte is a nightmare for us. For some reason, they match up with us right, play us right."

"We've been able to hang in there with Cleveland," Thomas added. "LeBron [James] hasn't been able to have one of his monster games. When he's had that big game, we've still been able to weather the storm."

James' career average against the Knicks is 23.5 points per game. Quentin Richardson has been a key in their wins, hounding James with physical play. But he's still out indefinitely with back problems. Jared Jeffries, benched to start the second half for Nate Robinson, will likely cover James tonight.

"Rebounding, shotblocking, his leadership, that's a big blow losing Quentin," Thomas said. "He's a real critical piece to the way we play, the way he spaces the floor and way he plays with Eddy [Curry]."

Wow, I had no idea we actually lost 6 of the past 9 to these guys. I hope we make a statement tonight.

Re: Knicks at Cavalier

Jamal Crawford is a Cavalier killer. He is out with his stress fractured right ankle. We win.

Re: Knicks at Cavalier

I hear Quentin Richardson is also out with back spasms...he bitched LeBron..

But I have a feeling Renaldo Balkman drops 40

Re: Knicks at Cavalier

Francis showed some great game last week , i hope tonight Cavs will stop him..
Balkman 40? no way!

This pic goes right along with Sam Cassel's as far as alien look-a-likes go.

Re: Knicks at Cavalier

Also, not sure if you did it intentionally or not, but its Channing Frye, not Charlie. ;)

Re: Knicks at Cavalier

you guys better stop talkin shit.. bet you guys Knicks win... Curry gonna own Z or Gooden..

I'll be there tonight.. 6 rows behind the knick bench with my Nate Robinson jersey.. he's coming off a 31 point night with 8 threes.. watch out..

I hope you spill pop and mustard all on your jersey then they put the camera on you. Go Cavs.

Oh yeah, I'm sure you'll get beer poured on you for that one! And hopefully it's an authentic jersey too.

I don't think the Cavs will be losing this one. They better come out the gate dominating.

knicks signed zach morris out of kentucky today, however I dont think he is playing... truthfully I cant believed that is allowed but oh well

Austin Carr actually said something that mattered, but followed it up with another dumb comment.

A depleted Knicks team at home was handled as expected. Lebron took this one over in the 2nd half. The most suprising thing was Eddy Curry was dominating this one, if he could hit free throws at a better clip he could be really dangerous. He's got the size to be really good, but the Knicks problem is they didn't have anything else going tonight.

Nice easy win. Cavs didn't play their best but took care of business.

Other than Curry and Balkman the Knicks didn't even show up tonight. Isiah sure did a fine job putting that roster together.

My only problem tonight is why the hell was Wesley on the active 12 man roster over both Shannon Brown and Damon Jones? That makes absolutely no sense and is a completely idiotic incompetent decision.
