New York Notes

* The wacky weird experiment of putting two selfish, non-passing, defensively soft low post players begins. So far, either Zach Randolph or Eddy Curry can have a good game, but never at the same time.

* Stephon Marbury has said he will look for his shot more this year (rather than trying to facilitate). There's not going to be enough balls on the court for these guys.

* Jamal Crawford is a noted Cavalier-killer. Hopefully he'll get lost in the offensive shuffle.

Cleveland Key Points

* We have a terrific morale boost, having resigned Sasha a few days ago. Hopefully we'll come to play, because Wednesday we weren't even in the game. Use the Pavalier energy!

* Our defensive rotations looked *terrible* Wednesday, hopefully everyone is on board with Mike Brown, and we see a marked improvement.

* Z has looked terrific so far. He certainly didn't hurt my fantasy team with the 18 rebounds the other night.

Mike Brown Gameplan Keys

- Now that Pavs is back, hopefully we only have to endure the Marshall/Jones tandem off the bench 1 or 2 more times.

- Defensive rotations. Defensive rotations. Defensive rotations.

Kyp's Prediction: Cavaliers 88 Knicks 76

Based on how good we looked in our previous contest, I think it's safe to assume we'll come out in another dominating fashion, and put this one to rest fairly early..

Hopefully this time the negative press and fan reaction will light the fire. It will be interesting to see if Sasha is activated for this game. We really need all hands on deck.

As for this game, the Knicks to me are just a mess off talents as we are of mediocre talents with one super. If we can lift our defense and LeBron bounces back, I see a pulling out a victory.

I'm interested to see how this team reacts. Friday night can't come soon enough, gotta get that bad taste out of my mouth from getting dominated last night.

Cleveland Rocks.

I'm ready to jump back on this horse...

It's a new day and it's time to turn that frown :( upside down :) !!!! Lets get 'em, guys...

Cavs 93, Knicks 85, $11.7 Million lawsuit, 2 soft big men, no true point, and a baffled Zeke in a Starbury tree.

Sorry man, I tried. That made me chuckle. Zeke is definitely in a perpetually baffled state.

I'm Interested to see if this team is going to come out and play like they give a damn. They should be able to beat the Knicks and I think they will.

I saw the Knicks a couple times this preseason and I was very impressed. They have a plan this season unlike seasons of old and it starts with the big men on offense. People can clown Zeke all they want, he's made some terrible moves, but those moves were proactive and made with aggression to improve. I can live with mistakes made from aggression, especially if you can fix them. What I can't tolerate is a GM who is reactive and passive. Zeke has a good eye for talent and is a good coach.

Don't misinterpret Starbury's comments about taking more shots. That comment was meant in respect to Jamal Crawford. Craw is the Knicks version of Larry Hughes and Starbury is setting the tone that Craw isn't going to lead the team in FG attempts as he did last season.

People can go ahead and clown them based on the past, but there won't be much clowning them this season. The Cavs have serious defensive concerns with Big Z, Drew, Yell, DJ2.

Without question LeBron is the key to this game. He's going to have to punish his man and attack those slow / defensively inept bigs for the Knicks. The worst thing the Cavs can do is focus on Big Z, Drew and Hughes shooting jumpers. That let's those bigs for New York off the hook. The Cavs have to attack them at the rim, not 15-17ft out.

Crawford is not the guy I'm worried about, Nate Robinson is, maybe even more than Starbury. This guy had some impressive games this preseason. He looked like a new player, with a new attitude towards the game. He was playing true point guard for them. Nate Rob was leading that second unit by being a playmaker. The guy can shoot, drive or dish and he was playing very unselfishly. The Cavs have no one on the bench who can handle Nate Rob's quickness and offensive ability. And even worse the Cavs have no one off the bench who can make Nate Rob work defensively.

This is not a good matchup for the Cavs.

Anyone know the best free way to catch this game without leaving my apartment and hoping a nearby bar has the game on? I'll take video or audio on the internet if anyone knows where to go that would greatly appreciated!
