Koby Altman

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
No, Lebron and Kyrie netted the Cavs first title. Griffin is just a average NBA exec and not a good one.

He got canned for not giving the Cavs defensive help on Durant. Pure and simple. He dropped the ball and got what was coming to him.

What exactly were our other viable options last summer to counter Durant given our own salary situation, other than breaking the bank on the un-economic retaining of Mozgov and Delly - who couldn't do much in the '16 finals, and we already had a lot of potential market inefficiency in Tristan and JR? Tinkering with the bench is pretty much the only other thing we could do.
Surely you don't realistically expect him to remember what trades and free agent signings were available from a year ago. I mean the man engineered a trade for Korver. Griffin was creative enough to have gotten us two way talent if that's what he was after.

Problem is we were never after that. We were only after more shooting. Understandably to maximise our offensive impact, but what about defenders to minimise Kyrie and Love's deficiencies and to help check Kevin freaking Durant. IMO Gilbert should have retained him because I'm sure the finals was a lesson learnt for him. That continuity would have been helpful at this crucial period

Maybe K man has the job and I feel Gilbert is giving him shot here. Is is young learning and seems to be doing good. Myers is GS was basically that and now look at what he did. He gave more control to the coach and players. So I think Gilbert does not want to sink tons of money into a guy who drained our pool. I will miss Griff and his bond with the team. However no JJ and no Griff means this is Brons last attempt and proving he alone behind a young GM and player. We are in a odd situation but finally LeBron is the GM of this team right now make no mistake and the K man is his other half.

More drinks to you Snarly.

In the words of "our dear leader" lol

"at least we got 1!"

When Bron was in Miami in his absolute peak, I truly thought he was gone forever.

Don't let this Golden State jizzfest distract you from the fact that the Cavaliers captured maybe the most memorable title in NBA history.

There was a reason LBJ wept in public, and he didn't for his other 2 championships.

One of the great sports stories of all time came true, LBJ fulfilled his "chosen 1" the "prodigal son" mantra and broke a fucking legendarily epic sports curse.

Us as Clevelanders, lets appreciate that actually happened, now that we have some perspective on it.

Cheers.

I said I'd give up the Cavs pt II if the Indians complete their own "unfinished business"

" ....."

If he can get Kyrie and LeBron to stay just put him in the HOF

How does this guy feel about the fact that nobody had enough confidence in him to name him GM months ago?

Kirby Orton, Cavs GM.

@Randolphkeys

Hope Gilbert doesn't completely ruin him. :(

So Sashi runs the Browns AND Cavs now???

Altman should be good. He has to take command ⌘ of the situation. This was a good option. It'll function well soon enough, but need to give him some space. Just have to keep tabs on him. We'll get a good return for Kyrie once we decide to enter the trade market. The caps locked though, so it won't be easy to control.

That's as many Alt puns as I can think of. Good thing my keyboard is labelled.

The Calderon and Jeff green signings makes me question his decision making.

Rose was a no brainer decision and made possible because of Lebron.

He's gonna need to pull off a haul for kyrie to make a name for himself.

LeBron specifically targeted Green and he tried getting Crawford here as well.

Just sayin', LeBron has had a pretty active hand in our FA signings.

I'll give you Calderon though.

Can't say welcome Koby because he's been in the organization for years.
I met him, heard him give a chalk talk for season ticket holders, and came away very impressed. Very sharp guy. Very high basketball IQ. Very knowledgeable on the Euro-leagues. Years of front office experience.

People on this board shouldn't underestimate him.
