I cannot wait to see what @InBoobieWeTrust says what he saw at the game. Come on man hurry home!

Okay well I will preface it with this, the last 14-15 minutes of the game he seemed to turn it around and did a lot of positive things, but I have to believe it was because he got chewed out by somebody. I almost, wth no source to back to this up, feel lke this was a moment where his actual father, not daddy LeBron, either called him, or was in toen and somehow got to Kyrie and got in his face.

But I said I had a few paragraphs for his body language during th first 30-36 minutes of the game and here they are.

His body language wasn't negative. It wasn't whiny or pouty like you sometimes see with LBJ whe n he doesn't get his way. It wasn't confused like you see from young guys with new coaches. His body language, to put it in one word, was empty.

He just had an aura of emptiness about him. I never want to accuse a guy of not caring, but I don't think Kyrie really had much concern for anything that was going on on the offensive end, defensive end, of in the huddle. He was completely disengaged. Defensively, I wouldn't even call it a lack of effort. He was running around and he was going through screens, but he just wasn't going through any screen that actually meant anything. If I was a non-basketball fan, and I saw Kyrie out there in a game, and let's just say that game was a pickup game at the park...I would wonder why Kyrie bothered to even be there. He was elsewhere mentally, and it showed.

He seems to like his teammates and coach fine, but, and I have never seen this from him, he is having a disconnect with the game of basketball right now. I don't know what's wrong with him. I don't know if he has girl problems, if he's got personal issues, if he doesn't trust his body, or what, but he isn' out on the court to ply basketball at a superstar level. LeBron is completely dumbfounded by it, you can see it in his face. He is doing every trick in the book to get Kyrie engaged, but right now it is only working for spurts at best. Last year before his knee injury, it was consistent and Kyrie looked like he was becoming his own version of D-Wade with a bit of a twist. Tonight he looked more like he was on his way to being Steve Francis.

I just think the kneecap injury messed his psyche up and he needs some kind of basketball Buddha to get him back to his normal self. He needs 12 hard weeks with USA Basketball. LeBron can only do so much. I don't feel like Kyrie has any problems with the team like Stephen A. Smith said, I think Kyrie is having internal issues with the game of basketball. I always thought it was weird how the Cavs and Kyrie's camp had that little media battle over his injuries last year. Something just didn't set right with me.

His body language is dead. He's constantly off-balance, even when just walking to the gatorade cooler he seems tilted somehow. It's hard to explain. He will call the play. He will pass the ball, he will to to a spot on the floor, he will make a move with the ball, but he's not doing anything with the precision or emphasis he had even in his rookie year. He walks an awful lot around the court, even on dead balls, or after a workout dill or move. Kyrie's always walking. Everyone else is jogging. Watch Steph play, the dude jogs around the arena to shake hands and give autographs. Kyrie is just walking around aimlessly, and it translates itself on the court too, even though when Kyrie decides to start jogging he's as good as we all know he can be, but he simply chooses to walk . He's in his own head and seeing it in person bothered me a lot. He's not right. His skills have not eroded, he has great size, speed, handles, athleticism. He has the lateral movement to defend. He even has the technique. He just seems dead. His body language, if I had to describe it in one word, was dead for the first 38-40 minutes of regulation. It was just dead. And I don't know why. And I don't like it, and it's hurting the entire team on both ends of the court, and it's really KILLING Kevin Love because Kyrie is having a really hard time making a post entry pass. Not because he can't, not because Love is getting bullied, but because Kyrie doesn't wan't to, again, ddead body language. Dead. That's all there is to it. I don't know what else to say.

After being a basketball zombie all-game, he then literally just snapped out of it in the fourth quarter. It's like in between the third and fourth quarter some victoria secret model blew him in the bathroom and the dude came out and was all of a sudden rookie of the year Kyrie, all-star game Kyrie, pre-injury playoff Kyrie, 33-5 elite LBJ running mate Kyrie.

If anyone has any theories, (Gouri, anyone:), I'd ove to hear someone explain what I'm seeing.

LBJ - 37 min -10

Love - 32 min -5

Moz - 10 min -13

J.R. - 34 min -7

Kyrie - 37 min +1

Those are the numbers so with all the t.o still was the only starter with a positive impact on the game as I said. But I'll let you guys ride high off of non sense, emotion, and deflection. So again if he was terrible what were the others tonight? So the other threads should be lit if he's terrible I can only imagine what y'all will come up with for the others right or nah just keep it personal to Kyrie right lol you guys are a trip tonight ha. Anyway I'll leave it alone for tonight Go Cavs.

Jesus fuck with the +/- stat.

IT ALWAYS TELLS THE WHOLE STORY

Personally, I don't give a crap about plus/minus. Never have and never will. It's an extremely elementary way to look at the game and I don't get why people take it so seriously. What if a player is playing bad but his teammates step up and increase the lead while he's still on the court? Some players get to play against the bench, etc. Theres soooo many variables.

Outside of his 4th quarter scoring stretch, he was not an impactful player regardless of what plus/minus says.

I wasn't at the game, but I saw the exact same thing @InBoobieWeTrust did. Kyrie of the first three quarters of the game and the last one were a completely different person.

H-U-N-G-E-R he doesn't have it. Kyrie's a guy that just plays. Plays because he's talented, plays because it makes him a ton of money and endorsements but he's not willing to sacrifice or put forth a serious effort to develop habits you'd expect from a contender. Yeah he wants to play well, but only for himself, NOT for the TEAM and his 'performances' magnify that all too well. You really do have to HATE losing more than you love winning and Kyrie is INDIFFERENT to it all.

I've had it.

Just trade him. You idiots want him gone anyway. And this season is built for failure with GSW. Feel free to hand the keys to Delly and trade Ky for a collection of middling morons.

I'm sure the Cavs will thrive.

The irony is that the 4th qtr was the one qtr in which he actually exerted himself on offense when it was apparent to him that everyone else was sucking balls when it came to putting the ball in the basket.

Meanwhile, congrats to K-Love for another transcendent performance.

And Bron for getting abused by Lance effing Stephenson in the stretch run

As usual all of this is Irving's fault. Hell Lue doesn't know how to coach, call a time out, control defense, ofense, doesn't know how to put a pressure on his players (he supposed to be the coach "who stands up and yell at James face" but he look like little bunny out there) and most of the time with eyes and mouth wide opened because he doesn't know how to handle 99% of situations on basketball court.

But hey let's fire Blatt bcs Lue is well respected by James. It's not important that he doesn't have clue how to coach the basketball team.

Everything is so nice and those damn Kyrie and Kevin are killing us...

Give me a break, damn, people should wake up and see the fucking reality and the real problems. Holly fuck.

Guarantee if this team had a coach or someone "above LeBron" to hold him and the team accountable, this team would be world beaters. The Cavs wouldn't be trading everything to see what sticks.

That's the real problem. It's not going to happen with LeBron as player/proxy coach. This team wins solely on talent. It could win with more than that.

I don't think it is very difficult to figure out. Kyrie doesn't like Lebron.

He doesn't like Lebron's fake ass "leadership" and begrudgingly accepted Lebron's return and total takeover of the team because he is such an accomplished player, but, correctly, views himself as a better scorer and rejects being subjugated to SG. Everyone on the team knows Kyrie is not the point guard, but he is being held accountable by media/fans for failing to be one. He's being told by coaches to use his ability to score, but because we have zero offense other than standing around and running simple PnR, players are not in position to score when he gets cut off and needs to pass, so everyone ends up looking bad when he has the ball in his hands.

He's far from blameless, but he is getting conflicting messages. When that happens, some people retreat into their shell. This organization is a joke and is a big reason why he hasn't developed.

Indeed.

+/- is just a summary of what happened when a player was on the floor. I like to look at Popcorn Machine's game flows to get a closer look at what went on and when but they haven't posted the game yet.

But I do find it odd that Mailman216 focused only on the starters and decided to ignore that TT came out of the game with a +10. With +/- you need to look for the guys driving the boat (forwards or backwards), not so much the guys being dragged along for the ride.

That being said, if Irving didn't turn it on at the end of the game we would have lost by double digits ... and there's little doubt that JR, Timo, Delly, and KLove flat out stunk.

Whole team was probably getting shit faced the night before the game... but TT doesn't have to knock down a jumper, just bring energy ... which he usually does.

This! This is the most accurate post I have read. Wow. Concise and Accurate to a T!
