L Cleveland 91 New Jersey 96

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I have to agree with LePip, while it's all well and good to keep up with what the other teams in the pack with us are doing, we shouldn't be worried about how well and poor they are doing, we need to concentrate on the Cavs. Come the end of the season, if records are close and and win for us and a loss for them means a higher seed for Cleveland, then that's fine. But until then, let's just forget about the other teams and worry about ourselves.

Man that game sucked. The Cavs seem to have lost some Mojo over Xmas, yeah they beat Chicago, but it wasnt an impressive win for me. This one they probably played well for a quarter of the game.

I didnt understand why DJones wasnt in the game down the stretch while we were trying to even it up. Pissed me off. Boooooooooo to Coach Brown!

HPD, Damon Jones played terribly and really hurt us when he was in. The fact he mouthed off to the coach when he was pulled despite his inept performance had me convinced he should not return however the game was traveling. The team was better off with Snow manning the point.

correct me if im wrong, but didnt the officals completely screw over the cavs at the end with that 8 second call? the clock showed 15.0 seconds, the shot was missed, the rebound grabbed, then 8 seconds was called with 7.2. Now being pretty good at math im sure that the 8 seconds would happen exactly at 7 seconds. However being as teh clock ticked after the 8 seconds was called the cavs should have still had another .5-1 second left on that, and being as lebron was at teh freaking line when it was called.....

bad call by the refs

A 7.8-second violation
The first time the Cavs played and lost to the Nets, they were displeased over a ``backdown violation'' called on James. Tuesday it was an incorrect 8-second call that inflamed them. With 15.0 seconds left in the first half, James took an inbounds pass and slowly dribbled up the floor against the Nets' Jason Kidd.
Usually officials use the shot clock to gauge the 8 seconds teams are allowed to cross midcourt. If the 24-second clock hits 15, it's a violation. In this case, the shot clock was off and official Monty McCutchen watched the game clock.
He blew the whistle on James as he crossed midcourt with 7.2 seconds left, only 7.8 seconds having gone off the clock before James crossed the line. The officials later admitted the mistake, but the Nets took advantage and scored.
``The refs came to me and said they blew it,'' Brown said. ``What can you do? It cost us two points. You can't do anything about it.''

Don't we all feel better now that the officials admitted their mistake?
