The win allowed the fifth-ranked Buckeyes (25-2, 14-1) to clinch their third straight Big Ten championship.

Ohio State's domination of the Big Ten in all three major sports continues. Two straight conference titles for the football team, three straight for the lady cagers, and likely two straight for the men (up by 1 game, with 2 games to go).

The golden age of Buckeye sports keeps on keeping on.

pardon me asking, but what in hell is a "cager"

Basketball player. I have no idea where that term comes from.

Did you know that in the history of the Big Ten conference no school had ever won the Women's Hoops, Men’s Hoops and Football in the same year until last year? Now OSU is close to pulling the trifecta back to back!

Go Bucks beat the Badgers!!!

If UCONN had a half decent football team, they would have done it to, only difference is they won in both the tourneys, something i doubt will be done will be done for a while again.

I was wondering that myself... I've always heard the term used but never knew how it applied to basketball. Here's the answer:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cager

Cager is a term frequently used for a professional basketball player. The word originated from early professional games (1910-1915) played in a cage to separate the audience from the playing court and speed up the game by keeping the ball in-bounds.

Alright, dude... All hail the Buckeyes.. I'm okay with it..

But this is taking it much too far...

talking about womens basketball is almost as bad as talking about bullriding in here as far as im concerned.

The three major Big Ten sports are football and mens and womens basketball. Only one school has EVER won the conference title in all three the same year, and that school is pretty close to doing it two years in a row. That's impressive. I don't see how stating that is taking things too far. Women's basketball is the third highest sport in the conference in gaining money. The 4th highest sport isn't even close.

but seriously....who the heck cares.

there have been plenty of schools that have had runs of being on top for a while, UCONN with Basketball, Duke with Basketball and LAX and Womens Basketball...Texas had basketball, baseball, football...

and right now, UF is the "elite" sports school for the simple fact they have been winning the championships.

If the Bucks were in the almighty Big Sky Conference and had to go up against power houses of Sac State and Webber State, not to mentition Portland State, they would be cellar dwellers.

Yeah, they are the bottom feeders. Montana State is legit though.
