LeBron: DeShawn, you are Soulja Boy, I am Jay-Z

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyone else think it's more like Barry Manilow saying something Jay-Z? :dunno:

Nah...I think Snow would be more accurate...Manilow actually made boatloads o' cash and was at least considered an accomplished songwriter.

Snow, on the otherhand, tried to imitate Rob Van Winkle, even using a name with similarities. How bad are you when you're trying to imitate the Great White Joke? It seems the most accurate...Snow and Mr. Van Winkle are imitation rappers, and DeShawn is an imitation baller.

This old dog here has no idea what the heck LeBron James is talking about...

LeBron is saying he's like the Beatles, and why would he say something bad about the Monkeys? It would really just seem silly.

DeShawn has a new tattoo on his back:

He later on said he didnt want his last name at first. He was more thinking about:
"Chosen 2"

Why? "Well, the chosen one is overrated! I R chosen too!"

It should have just said "Number 2"...that way it could be both a description of him and his game.

First off, I think Stevenson was an idiot for saying that... and not to defend him, but wasn't more of his quote something along the lines of "people can't be intimidated playing against him, I needed to try to get into his head".

Also, I think Stevenson's team-mate Gilbert Arenas has a huge inferiority complex vs LeBron... and that might've carried over to Stevenson. Gilbert had been basically calling out LeBron with the Larry "mis-used" Hughes situation, and then there was the whole free throw line smack talk from a few years ago... I could see Gilbert trying to pump up Stevenson before the game, telling him that LBJ isn't all that, to get in his head, worry about D first, etc., especially since Gilbert couldn't play himself.

The other thing, we've all heard pro athletes make promises, or talk smack before a big game... and often it is a role player making the guarantee. Not sure why that is, but that's what this reminded me of. Maybe the inferior player is really trying to pump himself up?

In any case, Stevenson is a solid player, but I don't think he has to work on a Hall of Fame induction speech anytime soon... whereas short of some catastrophe... we all know LeBron will be a HOF'er.

Since LeBron won't say it, I'll quote what my lady friend said about Stevenson around the end of the first quarter:

"I wouldn't be talking trash if I had a p^ssy on my face."

Judging by the posts in this (and other) thread(s), LBJ doesn't need to say anything about DeShawn...there's enough from us (including me) doing it for him (not to mention most of us couldn't dream of hanging with Stevenson on a court)...so far, he is being called everything from Snow to Soulja Boy to Vanilla Ice to Barry Manilow; a woman actually saying it looks like he has a vag on his face; and another saying that he looks and plays like feces. NNNNNice :chuckles:

i smell beef between lebron and souljah boy

What an idiot. He just dissed the best player in the NBA - and now, he'll be gunnin' for Stevenson.

It was nice knowing ya. LBJ's gonna dedicate every game against the Wizards to erasing Gilbert and Stevenson off the face of the basketball planet.

This clearly means LeBron is going to the Nets in 2010. :jerkoff: He mentioned Jay-Z. Done deal.
