Re: LeBron Free Agency Part III (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Wait...he is cooling as in, his opinion on the team isn't very strong right now as it used to be? I am confused. Also half asleep.

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part III (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Even that asshole Adande pretty much agreed, saying everything he's hearing is that Lebron is staying in Cleveland.

Well its funny that they all wanted to be story makers leading up to the decision....but now that Bron's choice draws closer they are all leaning towards cleveland...

Cleveland is not the sexy story, but at the end of the day none of them want to be "wrong".

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part III (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Sportscenter making things up. Windhorst never said that.

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part III (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Was just watching Sportscenter and a briefing on LBJ w/ JA Adande and they were saying Cleveland Beat Writer says LBJ's opinion to play in Chicago is cooling.. Don't remember seeing a Windy tweet about this, did I miss something?

Interesting...

I wonder who this Cavs insider could be?

I think he was enticed with chicago, not enough to go there though.

I also don't think Miami was ever a real possibility. I think that would have hurt his legacy.

NY was never a real threat... They botched this entire process even after preparing for 3 years..

I think the only REAL legit threat is NJ and I don't think they're ready for LeBron yet and I think he knows that.

I expect another 3 year deal with a 4th year option... NJ will be moved to Brooklyn by then, and if Cleveland still hasn't delivered by then, Lebron will be gone.

I'll be VERY surprised if he signs a 6 year Max deal.

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part III (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Yeah, this further proves my dislike for ESPN-NBA (I should probably start clearing that up since I want a job as a broadcast journalist once I graduate, probably shouldn't bash the WHOLE company). They take the expression "making a mountain out of a molehill" and make it a skill of theirs. Even if it is pro-Cleveland or anti-Cleveland. They make assumptions and read into everything far too much. I know it isn't the "sexy" story, but come on, you are the only sports media empire, you can find a way to take the truth and make it entertaining.

I think NJ is out of him being nice to his boy Jay-Z and getting him some publicity as an owner. If I were a betting man I would still say it is between New York and Cleveland in that mans heart. But who the f**k knows.

For those wondering about LeBron's previous websites-

He had one real early in his career (lebronjames.com), can't find a screenshot but this is the logo they used on it:

Then just a couple years ago, with his partnership with Microsoft, MSN created "lebron.msn.com":

Neither of these websites lasted very long.

You can check it at various dates here:

KBerg_CBS

@WojYahooNBA you suck

:chuckles:

We need more levity in here or else we'll all have lost our collective minds by Thursday.

On that note, Sportscenter's just trying to create a reason for when Lebron decides to stay.

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part III (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

So it's looking like Bron is going to stay and Mike Miller may quickly follow behind.

Just one more piece. Not even a superstar but someone that can consistently score points. Wonder who that can be....

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part III (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

I mean we are all pretty hardcore cavs fans on this site and look at how sick all of us got of the free agency shit he was doing. He was coming acroiss as arrogant and selfish, of course it hurt his brand.

I know what you but still when. When he was talking shit for 2 years not committing(only Cavs fans cared) when he sold out and decided not to play in the playoffs.

When push came to shove he made the teams that wanted him do it on his terms. But he didn't pick Akron, he chose CTown. Really the guy made a major change in the middle that IMO if he stays save his entire brand and even lifted it up. If he leaves well that's a whole different story because now he got lured away while hundreds of fans lined the street 7 stories down and cheered him as he came in and out. If he leaves he set himself up...if he stays he played it brilliantly all over the country.

Re: LeBron Free Agency Part III (Rumors, Speculation, Spin, Discussion)

Also, for what it's worth, the guy I interviewed told me after we stopped recording that while he doesn't have a firm source or anything (who does outside of LeBron's closest friends?), the feeling he's getting around the league is that "the odds are in favor that LeBron returns to Cleveland."

It's pretty much what we've heard else where and it's nothing to put too much stock into, but he does talk to a lot of people with other organizations around the league.

People love controversy

It's a clear sign that LeBron is losing weight so he can get ready to run for Byron Scott!!!!!I KNOW IT!!!!!!
