The city of Akron is pathetic. I intern for the Aeros and the city disliked the team's "Ship out LeBron Night." All the clothes went to a church organization that would take the items to third world countries on mission trips. Akron needs to get off LeBron's nuts. It's not like Akron city officials will tell LeBron to fuck off...they aren't going to kick a gift horse in the mouth. The majority of people from Akron are turned off by LeBron I would say. The only people supporting him are those LeBron only fans and inner-city folks. Which is a shame because they view LeBron as a role model when in reality you would never want your child to grow up as an arrogant, egotistical asshole like LeBron.

Yes they are. They could have insisted he send them a check for the bikes. They city could have then bought the bikes and handed them out. No need for a spectacle that was nothing but a PR stunt to show that he can still move around in Akron freely.
