LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm still salty about his Miami years. Couldn't stand to watch him play. I know there are LeBron jock riders on this board that have team hopped twice in the last few years and that just makes me even angrier. Meanwhile, we toiled away watching dogshit for four years.

Those dogshit years only made it sweeter. Those who ride the bandwagon will never feel that.

I don't regret watching 300+ games of that trash. They were OUR trash. And we wouldn't be here without that.

Totally agree. The 2010-11 season with the 26 game losing streak actually had some really fun wins.

Opening night against the Celtics, Mo's game winner right before Thanksgiving against the Bucks, the streak breaker against the Clippers, the home win against the Lakers after being doubled up in L.A. and then winning against the Heat late in the year at home.

I could probably name almost as many guys on that roster as I could for this past season's title team.

Baron Davis will always have a place in my heart for that one.

Kyrie also made it easier to watch in the following years with his game winners and clutch 4th quarter performances. That game against the Thunder where he went complete video-game is still one of my favorites.

82 game NBA League Pass only became available in Australia that very first year LeBron left (before that, it was mostly national TV games on ESPN, random streams and box scores). Those 4 years made me who I am - they made me Cleveland and gave me pride.

With all due respect, I'd still rather watch videos of Mo Williams knocking down a transition 3 off a J.J. Hickson block on Blake Griffin than videos of LBJ in Miami.

But of course, watching videos of LBJ blocking Iguodala trumps all of that, ten times over.

That polarizing figure, LeBron James. Nobody will ever come close.

I'm not salty. I NEVER jumped ship, and rooted against him the entire time. Been a Cavs fan my entire life.

BUT, I actually had a lot of fun through the post-LBJ rebuild. It's fun to root for a rebuilding team. Even more fun to root for the champions.

Can't forget Ryan Hollins in that Miami game as well.

Cavs need a rim protector; where's he at now?

Eyenga wow

Remembers how he was supposed to be our pippen to The King

lol

What happened to the dude

This........ is true.
While it was glorious at the time, it's easy to wish that '11 didn't happen the way it did, right? I mean LeBron would be working on his 5th ring right now, he'd be a Cav, and the biggest argument against his challenge for Jordan's supremacy wouldn't exist.

Interesting to think about.

I think in the end the Cavs will end up winning more championships because Lebron left and then came back. The team was in cap/roster hell when Lebron left. The only way the team could have gotten Kyrie and Love was through the draft choices that came when Lebron was gone.

Plus Lebron greatly improved in maturity/leadership skills when he left. When you consider that Miami barely won its championships even with Bosh and Wade added to Lebron, I don't see much chance that Lebron all by himself could have lifted the crappy 2010 Cavs roster to championships.

Sleep well at night knowing that the Cavs probably never would have won a championship if he didn't leave.

I'm thankful for Kyrie..
I'm sure there's a good number of us who were rooting against him in Miami now wish he had won more for the sake of his legacy :chuckle:
lol yea.

Its kind of funny to see people talk around the Mavs series when that was the most excited this place had been outside of LeBron's return/won a championship. :chuckle:
