LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Outside of his first 3 years in Miami Lebron has never played on a well rounded team. I kind of feel bad because I always feel teams have wasted his potential unlike other stars who just weren't good enough to lead.

It really makes no difference. I hope LeBron is okay but whatever is wrong with this team looks irreparable...for this season, anyways.
Just wait until Ty Lue reveals his super secret defensive scheme in the playoffs that nobody is allowed to see until then.

We’ll see who’s laughing then.

Pretty sure it will look like this:

Where did his lift go

He is hardly getting any lift

Are you referring to his jump shots?

He hasn't made a 3 in over a week, percentage is plummeting. Maybe you are on to something and he's run into the ground already in terms of that.

That dunk on Gasol though, did not lack lift.

Woah, while the Heat were never a prolonged mess like Cleveland has been for essentially the entire new year, I certainly wouldn't call them "well rounded". Their roster outside the Big 3 in 2011 wouldn't even have cut it in the NBDL. And they always had serious size issues and were prone to being exploited by teams with size. That's why the Bulls and Pacers, teams with big front lines, always gave them such fits despite having notably less offensive talent.

To me LeBron's most well-rounded team has always been the 2015 Cavs post-acquiring JR, Shumpert and Mozgov. Mozgov was a revelation that year. A genuine defensive presence in the paint and a handy offensive player on top of it. They ran through the league like no tomorrow the rest of the regular season for a reason. They had size, rebounding, shooting, athleticism and depth everywhere. They most certainly would've won the championship had they stayed healthy. The 2016 team, despite the championship, was far from well-rounded. An injured Mozgov basically became useless and the defensive regression under Lue was steep to say the least. And the current team....wow, the less said the better.

Can somebody decipher what this cryptic LeBron quote from tonight means?

“First of all, you have to take every shootaround and film session, and every opportunity to be together very seriously. If that’s what we want to do—win a championship—we have to have that mindset every single day, on the floor and off the floor. You have to carry that with you every day. If it’s making sacrifices for yourself, or for the benefit of the team, taking away things that you love to do but feel like you have to be committed more to the team, so be it.”

It means its about damn fucking time to stop fucking around and wake the fuck up. Its show time!

LeBron def threw some shots, talking about people need to sacrifice on some off the court stuff and focus on the right things and get in better shape ect.

Another interesting thing that came up is the possibility of resting our main guys for a very long stretch before the playoffs and basically tank the seeding completely which I think is just a great idea, I think resting 6-7 games before the playoffs will actually help more than running everyone into the ground for the 1st seed we're not going to get either way

I don't think we need to rest. Honestly, between playoff games you have 1 to 2 days off. If we can sweep the first two series, your going to get 5/6 days off. If I remember correctly, didn't the Cavs have 8 days off between RD2 and the conference Finals?
Just stop with the "rest" for the playoffs. This team totally fell into the championship hangover, we have an entitlement where we think we can just show up and win.
Hopefully, it's not too late and we can get it out of our system, I however, think we're screwed.

No the whole rest thing is out the window now. Totally gone. They have to play to find some kind of form. If they just rest and go into the playoffs like this? They will get bounced in round 2, no questions.

Rest Lebron and challenge the rest of the team. There's no doubt Lebron can turn it on in the playoffs. And the rest of the team need to be challenged to perform without the crutch of having Lebron on the court.
