LeBron James

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
LeBron screwed himself by never committing to the Cavs long term. What’s great about him committing to the Lakers long term is that he’ll never win there. It’s karma at its finest. He held the Cavs hostage for years, and now he’s paying for it. As a Cavs fan, he can go fuck himself for how he treated this team, and the city I love.
I hope he screws LA over (at least once). If you though CLE was bad when he left...at least now he can use his off the court career/life as his basketball scapegoat. Question: can he do enough off the court in LA that the fans will give him a pass? What if they actually miss the playoffs!?

At the end of the day, I think the NBA “powers that be” will make sure they make the playoffs and make sure a big FA signs there. I think the Pelicans GM getting fired was influenced by some forces outside of the Pelicans organization.

Call me a conspiracy theorist if you’d like.

I think what you say is likely true. LOL. The NBA desperately needs LeBron; ratings have gone down because he's not in the East anymore. Absent the Worriers this is some of the most exciting basketball in a while -- lots of great trades, developing talent, room for optimism. But LeLakers, which should have been a slam dunk, is pretty dismal right now. And that's pretty bad for business.

I was gonna come back here and say, I really wish that trade wasn't so awful. I believe LeBron put on one of the most amazing seasons of his career last year, absent the "Chill Mode" BS, and because that trade was so toilet they never got to cash in. I mean, the playoffs, especially, with all those "LeFuck You" threes. And it all ended on a JR Smith meme.

But yeah, the Lakers fans are gonna riot if this crashes and burns. He's not Kobe. (And yes, I know, Kobe is not better, but Kobe to them is much more beloved because '08-10. Really '06-10). The unrest is already starting, and the fans are moving on to Kuzma, LOL.

People belive he came back to Cleveland cause of some hometown bull shit too. When I’m realty Irving was an all star and love was would be coming as well and wade was finished
I definitely feel like it was a QUITE convenient alignment of the stars. One for which I'm grateful but .... yeah. I did NOT expect 2014 to happen. I was awash in glee with the Heat being washed by the Spurs, and the He-At Fans having to hold that L

Whatever the reason he's made for his moves, and whatever we want to say about his current situation being karma, showing his true colors, etc. he's still damn near the only elite UFA in history to move from a more glamorous market to a significantly less glamorous one while still in his prime.

A lot of things were frustrating about him, but I agree 100% with the bolded.

LBJ can't miss the playoffs. Just can't. Not a lot of people will agree with me here, but I think LBJ would rather go playoff-mode in March/April, bump his stats up so it looks like he tried, and then get smoked by the Warriors in round one over missing the playoffs entirely.

Hell, he couldn't beat the KD-Warriors with Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and a core of players who won the championship together the year before. No way in hell he'll beat them with Kyle Kuzma and Lance Stephenson, and he knows that. If he goes nuclear in that series anyways and the Lakers still get swept or somehow snags a game, then the blame gets shifted to Magic/Ball/Ingram/etc and not LeBron.

If they somehow avoid Golden State and manage to beat Denver or OKC (don't think they'd have a chance against OKC fwiw), then even better for him.

Smart move by LBJ.

ESPN airing pro-Rockets/Harden propaganda kinda nails how shitty the NBA is right now.

I love in Thunder territory and I have never seen less excitement for the NBA product than I have this year.

And let me put it you this way.

People in Oklahoma love the Thunder. When I first moved here? Stickers on cars. People glued to the TV, Jerseys, etc.

Now? Feels like people aren't even bothering. I don't put that on Oklahoma. I put it on how bad the NBA is now.

This is exactly how I feel. I still love the Cavs but literally don't give two fucks about the NBA as a league right now. It's complete garbage.

Bron going to play with these fucking clowns will forever perplex me.

I only turned on the Rockets/Lakers just at the end when Chris Paul and D'Antoni both got techs. I think Harden also just fouled out. Did the Refs gift this game to the Lakers?

No. Harden just got reffed like a normal player and didn't get 50 free throws.

Hindsight?

It's not as if Cleveland has been used in Hollywood blockbusters lately....

Ah well..Someone else has a shot at his crown now.

Why I hate this guy's game.

Do kids today even know what the fuck Looney Tunes is? I really dont get the Space Jam 2 thing. I feel like the only people who want to see it are dorks in their 40s who obsess over the NBA and think LeBron is Jesus of Nazareth.

In the 90's? WB was indeed neck and neck with Disney in terms of being a cartoon property. I don't think that's the case any more.

I see Disney stuff being sold in stores to this very day. Don't see Bugs or Daffy.

If he was still on the Cavs and this had a Cleveland-centric plotline? I would probably see it and probably see it opening night.

But there's no point.

Kareem...

Buddy...

LeBron does good things no question...

But he's pretty much invisible now versus years past. He wanted to go Hollywood and he did. It landed him on a shit team and with him being non-existant.

Perhaps that changes. But...dude. As of right now? it's over.
