Further proof that LeBron lives in his own bubble of a universe, completely separated from actual reality.

Exactly, but YOU GUYS created the monster...it is only now that he has started to turn on the towns people and started to pillage their villages.

He's just showing everyone that no matter what happens on Dec 2nd, it won't affect him. He'll be happy to take on the role of villian and wear that black hat. He'll use it all as motivation to take it to his former team and fan base. He'll make crazy buckets and stare Gilbert down at every opportunity, ala Clemens in Boston in '97. This way he can say in his post game presser, "I told you I made the right decision, LeBron was never appreciated except for what he gave on the court." From welcoming House to Team Dillinger to having a quote stating he and his Akron fans hate/hated Cleveland, James is turning heel. Somewhere Vince McMahon is beaming at his influence in the mainstream.

That "Akron hates you" chant on December 2nd is sounding better each day...

Dan Gilbert will buy a new car for the first player to put LeBron on his back when he drives towards the basket.

Thanks to everyone in this thread...(so far!)

Not that LeBron or his people would ever read a site like this, but the one thing that just cuts down people like him, people who feed off attention - is indifference.

Whatever LeBron. I'm done with you. And I'm glad I'm not alone. Have fun justifying all this to yourself for the rest of your life.

It's a theme that runs through the entire article -- that LeBron can't be alone, something you write in italics at one point.

Now we can complain about the next thing - those uniforms...oh good lord...

Guilty as charged.

I (probably like Dan Gilbert) thought our undying loyalty would prevent this exact scenario from ever occurring. But really, we just kept feeding the world's largest ego until it believed Ohio could no longer contain it.

The hilarious thing to me is that LeBron is now threatening that Gilbert's letter may prevent him from ever returning. As if he would have ever entertained that possibility anyway. :chuckles:

My favorite part:

"I love our fans. Cleveland fans are awesome," he told GQ. "But I mean, even my family gets spoiled at times watching me doing things that I do, on and off the court."

No apparantly LeGoblin has festered these feelings all these years and this was the situation which brought it all out..
Now IMO had everyone cheered him on and supported him when he did his drama scene on "THE DECISION" and showered him with parting gifts(swift kick in the butt) he'd have little to say..or maybe not , maybe he would still say stupid childish things that bring more to light his inmaturity..

He didn't turn into a monster..he was a already a young monster who needed a frankenstein to develop him..and then his buddies who have massive egos helped feed that desire he has, to behave in a even more selfish manner ..all the ingredients were there..they just needed a huge pot to boil in and then overflow out..
And I don't believe for one second he wants to come back to Cleveland..he couldn't wait to get out ..

I thought Narcissus couldn't stop staring into the lake long enough to give an interview to GQ. Guess I was wrong.

I guess he got a head start on hating Clevelanders. We must be band-wagon haters to him. Following his trend.

In an interview to be published in the September issue of GQ, James told writer J.R. Moehringer that "if there was an opportunity for me to return [to Cleveland] ... and those fans welcome me back, that'd be a great story."

What a fucking douche. He has no intentions of ever coming back, not that he is welcome, this is just to get some Clevelanders on his side to make more money.

And it's funny how Dan Gilbert gave this guy motivation to beat a lottery team. He had no motivation to beat Boston last year, but he's ready for us.

Lebron is just saying whatever he can to justify his actions at this point. The idea of tension existing between Akron and Cleveland is something I'd never heard of until Lebron said it. I have encountered people from Akron that rep Cleveland as their city.
