Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've reached a point that, I just want to see them play hard, and act like they're having some fun. They're so painful to watch right now. They are running no offense, not trying on defense, and generally just don't seem to care that much. I'm moreso just annoyed with them. Just moved back from cali and am taking my daughter to the Q Sunday, I'm praying they don't play like ass.

Luckily we have no Bigs with no skill.

I think you nailed it.

The lack of a true center and depth is killing us.

Some point to Channing as a problem, but thats not true. If he was doing what he was brought in to do he would be perfect. Come in for 20 mins a game as a backup pf and hit 3's.

Issue you have is Frye is our backup center and that is disastrous. Tristan is not a true center and playing way to many minutes. Need him back down to 28 mins so he can do what he does best, provide energy and hustle 100% of the time he is in the game.

Been saying this all season.

Frye was a godsend once he got acclimated last season. We finally had a full front court rotation with Mozgov and TT sharing minutes at the 5 and Frye coming in to hit 3s while Love got a breather.

Dude almost singlehandedly won us a tough Game 3 in Atlanta with 7 3s and he confounded Toronto. GS neutralized him but they did the same thing to Love.

Mozgov was a shell of himself last year but he was an important piece of the puzzle. He preserved TT and could still give us serviceable minutes as a rim protector. Trying to plug the void his departure left by inserting Frye there totally screwed up that part of the rotation and is major reason why we are where we are.

Imagine if Houston tried inserting Ryan Anderson at center and then realize how foolish and arrogant it was to think we didn't need another big man this year.

Sanders should really help next year but...lesson learned?

It's no secret that our biggest problem is a true rim protector with a semi offensive game. TT isn't doing shit on offense, other than setting good screens but most of the time when he screens he isn't even in the play and you will see him trailing so have no advantage at the point of attack.

Our offense looks stagnant alot of times because we have no off-ball screeners. TT is the one that sets the on ball screens and Love doesn't know how to set a screen to save his life which really lowers our ceiling on offense.
Optimally you would have TT as the off-ball screener for our shooters or Lebron, ala Bogut and have Love set the screens on the ball at the top of the arc, that gives us much more options because Love is a much better decision maker. He can either drive, pass or shoot the 3. Similar to what GSW was doing with Green and Curry.

TT is our weakest link in the starting lineup and i'll tell you why.
He makes our offense very predictable because he is a terrible passer, he makes really late decisions with the ball and unless he has a slam dunk he doesn't know what to do.I have seen TT get the ball in good positions and fail to see an open shooter time and time again. He is not a big target on the roll against starting Centers and that makes it easy to cover him. He has no offensive game, he has no post up game whatsoever which makes switching defense highly effective against the Cavs and it shouldn't be.

Also, his switching defense is very overrated in the RS because Lebron and the wings do a poor job on the boards so we become very vulnerable on the glass even if we do get a stop. That changes in the playoffs once Lebron starts crashing the boards.

Now both of our Bigs are undersized and now that Love is weak, we have pretty mediocre options to go for in the post, and that makes our offense one dimensional if Lebron isn't going all out.

Mozgov was so effective for us because he has a mid range game, was a huge target and was very good at rolling to the basket. TT is none of those.

These things are very apparent to me and I don't understand how our coaching staff fails to see this.
I'm sure that Lebron is going to play alot in the post once the playoffs start, not as a passer that he plays like now, but as a scorer and that's going to attract double teams consistently. Lebron isn't in that mindset yet but I believe we are going to look differently once LEBRON flips the switch, not the team.

This right here gets at me. Besides TT, everyone acts they're about to set a screen on a porcupine. Even baby girl Stephanie sets decent off-ball screens for her team...

Yep, after TT our 2nd best screener is fucking Deron Williams and Jr Smith. Even Lebron sets some really soft screens.

I cannot wait for this frustrating regular season to be over.

It sucks wuck... we look forward to Cavs season every year and here we are having one of the worst and most frustrating ones yet but still top of the East, somehow...

Something had to have gone down with this team. Locker room, these guys don't play for each other.

Someone has to have fucked somebody's mom again.

And with how eerily bad it's been, I can only speculate that it was in the ass.

If "gimme game" was in the dictionary, it'd say: April 7th, 2017 - The Atlanta Hawks sat their starters against Cleveland when they visited Quicken Loans Arena.

And these fuckin' idiots not only found a way to lose, they got punked in the process. LeBron played 41 minutes while Mike Dunleavy, a guy who can't get wait to get home to watch Perry Mason reruns, took a shit on the Cavs organization.

So after appearing to right the ship after a season of complacency and underwhelming play, the Cavs now face the unenviable task of beating a fully-rested Hawks team in Atlanta and/or a red-hot Miami team in a place they haven't won in since LeBron has returned.

Just a masochistic team of befuddling douchebags.

The most underachieving, yet still potentially title-contending, team the Cavs have ever had. So much has been disappointing in some way or other so far. Not convinced they can hit the reset button, but I won't rant about that yet.
