Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I agree but where are sports fans going to go? NHL doesn’t appeal to many. MLS is well........MLS. I must admit, I kinda watch little NBA during the season and usually only watch the Cavs in the playoffs after a couple games. But I agree, the league is not looking good.

Remember when the Spurs were in the finals and the ratings would routinely take a nose dive?

That's what will happen.

The rest of the league will do well, but the finals? I mean does anyone here who's not...hardcore invested in the NBA want to see a 4 game sweep where the Warriors are all but handed a trophy for having a super team?

There breaks in the game. TyLue must rotate his players for God sake! There is no good athlete who is tired. When will TyLue ever learn? Cavs always welter down in the third and fourth quarter! Wake up Cavs and TyLue it is high time to learn from those two-games mistakes!

Cavs players who need to fire up or rev up: Green; Hood; Hill
Cavs players who need to be utilized / given time to play: nance, zizic, clarkson, osman
Cavs Strong chemistry: James, Love, Tristan, Korver, Green or Hill but these guys need to be fresh a short and quick rotation to intersperse for their optimum rest.
Third Quarter and Fourth Quarter performance need to be racheted up if Cavs need to stay in the series and win!
Why not try Nance, Zizic, Clarkson, Osman and Love or James chemistry? - at least, for a short but big impact plays on offense and defense probably on the closing of the 2nd Qtr and early on the Third Qtr?

It’s been over 6 months, and I still can’t believe we traded Kyrie to our rival for a bag of donuts.

Really - who is stupid enough to do that deal?

2nd best player in franchise history...

From what I have seen is Lue had no intention of playing the new guys deeper into the playoffs. He has been ruining players confidences since he came back from his health scare. He threw the rotations out the window and made a lot of players doubt themselves right before the playoffs. I feel he thinks he is Phil Jackson using head games to get the most out of his players. If that is the case it backfired on him horribly. He needs gone one way or the other. He is definitely a joke. Imagine what he would do if he didn't have LBJ?

I'm not following that logic.

Kyrie aside, the Celtics we are playing right now are not the same team the Cavs steamrolled last year. Their young guys have a much more prominent role this year, and Smart is a far better two way player than IT - or Kyrie.

The fact that our current squad kicked the shit out of the Celtics with Kyrie during the season, while the Celtics have kicked our ass twice without Kyrie, suggests that perhaps Kyrie's true two-way impact may not be as big a positive as some may believe.

Forget that regular season nonsense.
Kyrie is an all-time talent. And the Cavs are pure shit w/o him right now.
We know what Playoff Kyrie is. Add that to THIS Celtics team, and you have a team built to up end the Warriors. Of course, that's exactly what the Cavs did.

The worst Cavs trade of all time.

Forget that regular season nonsense.

No thank you.

Kyrie is an all-time talent.

I disagree. His putrescence on the defensive end is too big of a weakness for him to be considered as good as you apparently believe.

We know what Playoff Kyrie is.

Right. He's capable of offensive greatness, but is inconsistent, not durable, and a major liability defensively.

I would take Price, Daugherty, Nance Sr., Williams over Kyrie.

Cavs Starting 5

Daugherty
Love
Lebron
Carr
Price

Defensively, Price and Kyrie were/are both pretty horrendous.

We'll revisit this next season after the Celtics run the Eastern Conference.

Yeah -- you got me. Kyrie is going to magically become not-horrendous defensively next season.

I'm not the only one who believes that Boston played better after IT went out in last year's Finals. KI is better than IT, but they share a lack of defense and a propensity to be ball-stoppers. That is what limits Kyrie's impact from being as great as his talent would suggest.

it really doesn't matter if he's a defensive liability, considering who else is on that team. on the Cavs it's a problem because he was surrounded by a plethora of bad defenders in most lineups. On the Celtics? Not so much. lots of two-way players on that team. and they actually have a coach.
