Talk about a bare cupboard. I think Riley mistakenly left the keys to his personal salt truck in the ignition and someone stole it.

It's funny how Gilbert got roasted for the letter. But he swallowed his ego to do a s&t for a pick we used to get Love. And then 4 years later, LeBron comes back.

Riley has pushed his 2 best players back home, and has no assets to show for it. Dude has structure, but he's a damn megalomaniac, and it's coming back to bit him in the ass.

Miami's big 3 era. Dead. After he got done with it.

I got nothing against Bosh at this point. Wish he'd be healthy and get back on the court safely.

Plus with their team gutted it won't make a difference how well he plays.

You know how last year the whole East was basically tied except for us and the Raptors? My prediction is that 3-8 are all bunched together and it's just us up top with an MVP LeBron and a healthy lead over second place Indiana. Miami misses the playoffs.

Yes, Riley's a scumbag. But I was taught by my parents that you don't kick a man when he's down, so I'm not going to sit here and gloat about the Heat's downfall or mock Riley for the situation he now finds himself in. The fact is, he helped bring the Heat franchise three NBA championships - two as their GM and one as their HC. Did he circumvent NBA rules to accomplish some of that success? I think we all know the answer to that question.

I will say this though.


Karma can be a bitch, especially when you are the kind of person Riley is.


Sometimes it takes a while to catch up to you, but it always seems to do it eventually. It finally caught up with Riley. He now has to live with another fact - that his hubris and stubbornness helped bring the Heat franchise to its knees with a cupboard of assets that is almost bare.

So while I won't celebrate his demise, I also won't pity him either.
