This sounds like I have a lot invested in his development when I made some comments while he was in college that I thought he’d be a very good player, which I still do.

His success or failure as an NBA player is meaningless to me. But he appears to have the tools to be successful. And you guys seem to want him to fail (badly) much more than I want him to succeed (mildly apathetic).

There’s no contrarianism here. I just don’t really care all that much.

I would just bet he’ll get that shot to the 40% range.

He's a whiter Ricky Rubio. I don't see him ever shooting well enough to justify where he was picked. He is already the second-best rookie in that Lakers team.

We pointed this out a lot last year, but I feel bad for Lonzo as it's coming to fruition.

Dude hasn't said or done anything really wrong, but because of his Dad, now has the largest target on his back imaginable.

I 0 respect for the way Lavar handled Lonzo's rise to fame, and this is why.

Players enjoy kicking his ass. Fans enjoy watching him get his ass kicked. Lonzo has to take it, work through it, attempt to improve, and remain humble in spite of all of it.

It's just not fair to put that shit on your son because you're an ego maniac who didn't achieve shit in your own right.

Having coached a lot of travel baseball in the past and coaching 7th grade sports now, dealing with those parents breaks my freaking heart because kids just want to play.

I feel bad for Lonzo, but want to see him fail so that the message gets sent: Shut the fuck up and let your kid's play do the talking.

To my untrained eye, the biggest issue for Lonzo isn't his funky jumper, it's the lack of lateral quickness. He's very fast in a straight line, but ask him to quickly change directions on either end of the floor and he's struggling hard.

He's an excellent and willing passer. He's a very good rebounder and his basketball IQ is really high, but I just don't see much explosion off the bounce against NBA athleticism.
