Downloaded the demo this morning...

The demo is stripped there's supposed to be no commentary etc, but I don't like the new presentation. They switched all the camera angles to what you'd see on a TV broadcast and it's on you whether to switch it back.

Kicking went from the joystick (which I liked) back to tapping the A button but the timing sucked and overall it's hard to get the accuracy just right.

I've been playing NCAA 2012 and honestly I like the feel of that game more than Madden 2012. The gangtackles are kind of glitchy, you'll get hit by one guy and then another guy will hit you and it's like sped up and you go flying to the ground superfast. I wish they could put the little motion capture suits on players during a real NFL game to get the animations more realistic, but at least they added new tackles and movements this year.

I think they should do that every year, it's better than it was but I wish there were more 1 handed catch animations, more sideline and endzone toe taps and drags, bobbled QB snaps or stumbles and ground stiff arms.

The only cool thing I saw was the new features available in franchise mode. They seemed to have made it a little more fun to build your franchise so that's cool. It includes player rating changes after every game...some players are unpredictable and can go on hot and cold streaks. Free agency bidding is supposed to be more fun, it'd be cool if they had a live draft where your player goes up to the podium and there's a fan reaction. Basically I just need Mel Kiper integrated into Madden because his hair has 99 toughness, 99 stamina, and 99 durability.

Browns ratings are a bit iffy...TJ and Joe are 85 and 86 respectively. Granted he's done for the season Reggie Hodges was only a 62 (wtf?) before he went down. Marecic while a 4th rounder should be better than a 67. Vickers was a 90 and granted FB isn't the most important position on the field there is no way Vickers is 23 rating points better than Marecic. I think the ratings people are dyslexic as Delhomme is a 73 and should definitely be a 37.

Anyone else play it yet?

PS Aaron Rodgers has a fucking cannon :chuckles: let's just say A-Rod and Jennings put da team on dey back doe

AHAHAHAHAHA

Marecic is a 67 is real life and Vickers is a 90.... So it seems fair.

:chuckles:

I didn't know Owen Marecic was hateable enough to have a mortal enemy. Why don't you like him?

He's a product of ESPN. Mediocre talent that has one highlight and is made out to be the GOAT of two way players when he played both positions sub par. Plus I really really really liked Vickers and I don't like seeing him replaced by anybody especially not a guy that gives those schmucks on ESPN raging hard ons.

Is a 4th round pick, at #124 overall, even capable of all this?

Jesus Christ dude.

Ratings mean nothing in Madden. Put McCoy at LT and he will dominate.

IMO, its the best sports game i've ever played. Most realistic, best graphics ever, and I can't stop playing it. Actually defense in the game unlike last year where it was whoever had the ball last was gonna win.

I gave up on Madden years ago and nothing in the demo changed my mind. The defense still does not react realistically and separation between the defender and WR means absolutely nothing.

Such bullshit they have the monopoly on the NFL. 2k Sports owned Madden and I miss it.

I haven't played the demo and don't plan on it.. To me, Madden is a lost cause

Haven't played the demo yet, but as a browns fan I have to get it. Who knows if we will ever get the cover again.

Playing offense felt too easy at times but the protection wasn't always great (I was playing as the Packers). I've hated playing defense for years because it's easy to stop the run and get sacks but then they'll throw a bomb on you despite how well you'll cover it. It's fun but it never seems to really improve anymore and especially not for 60 bucks.

Played the demo, and I had to ask myself.. Am I playing Madden 11?

Same game every single year. EA never seems to care anyway.

Might just buy a cheap copy on ebay or something just to have the cover. The game, I could careless for.

Same game every year. Sorry, not shelling out 60 bucks for updated rosters.
