Cavalier Notes​

• This team is a bit confusing right now. We're missing Varejao, we have a few new faces trying to crack the rotation. A few old ones that fell out of rotation getting back in. This team is hard to evaluate right now.

• Gibson still needs to shoot the ball more. He's one of the purest shooters in the game and his shot opens things up for LeBron slashing to the basket, as well as Z and Gooden working down low. He needs more attempts period. Run the guy a damn play or two.

• Control Dwight Howard. The guys is averaging 21 ppg 15 boards and 2.3 blocks, the guy is having a monster season and is an absolute tank down low. Rashard Lewis is down playing PF in a smaller lineup so we'll need Gooden to really do his part on Lewis and hope he can help Z a little bit with Howard.

Magic Notes​

• They have 3 players hovering right at 20 points per game [Howard 21,Rashard 20, Hedo 19]. They might not be the caliber of Boston's Big 3 or even Washington's Big 3 but they're still putting up 60 ppg and leading this team.

• They have a unique squad, you look at them and they're a smaller team so you'd expect them to run and they definitely can. They're athletic from top to bottom, but with Howard such a dominant presence down low, they can really run and gun or slow it down into a half court game.

• They ride their starters hard. We need our bench players to really contribute. Whether it's Damon spreading the floor and putting up points. Newble coming in and D'ing up an assignment, or Devin putting up a solid all around game. We need a full team effort in this one.

CDTs Final Word​

We can't afford to sleepwalk through any quarters in this game. They can score the basketball and they have some serious talent. I think we're a little undermanned right now with Sasha out, Larry completely worthless and we don't have a set rotation right now for success...we're doing a lot of experimenting.

I'm not sure if we have an answer for Howard down low...I see Rashard tearing Gooden up as well. We're going to need a big one from LeBron and solid games from multiple other guys and I just think the Magic are the better team. Orlando 109 Cavaliers 97

I really don't have a good feeling about this game. I was talking to my buddy who also frequents this site and he reminded me of the Orlando game last February after the Cavs came back from a long road trip. It wasn't pretty.

Basically there are still two good reasons to head down to the Q tomorrow night - time to add to the bobblehead collection...

Not looking forward to the game after the West coast trip...Well they basically took Monday off so they had a little more of a lay-off....

Ira might be a little tired though, so we probably shouldn't expect much from him....

(I have to say though being 4-4 after those first eight games is pretty good.)

Its always a danger game (first one at home) after such a long road trip. Orlando are a dangerous team and we dont match up overly well. They have a quck point man, athletic center and a shooting 4 all areas in which we can have troubles. I'd like to see LeBron at the 4 spot regulary. He can put the clamps on Lewis defensively, and destroy him at the other end.

Cavs win via a one man Lebron show.
