Another should win series for the Tribe, but I HATE seeing Seattle, just because that means Jamie Moyer will pitch against us. He always kills the Indians.

Will be interesting to see when Pronk finally returns to the lineup, hopefully soon. Elarton, Lee, and Millwood for the series this weekend against Mike Hargrove, Richie Sexson, et. al.

a beauty pitched by elarton...in the 8th had a 3 hitter going and gives up a 2 run shot to ichiro...then we had 1st and 2nd nobody out in the 8th and got nothing because of hargroves good ole wheel play!wow i cant believe he pulled it off.he did it for us against baltimore in the ALCS in 97.then in the 9th 2 outs 1st and 2nd and blake frickin struck out.i wish blake would have kept his hitting going...back to back 2/4 days then shows up for a 0/5 day.damn...

I hate Blake, I want him out of here almost as much as Boone..Elarton has really shown up, he is more reliable then CC, if only we could package blake and boone for a bat..right handed bat..hmm

boone is batted almost .450 in his last 13 games they said...hes been coming around...now u can move blake and belliard for all i care.they were talking about soriano on the block...ok well lets think...we cant win for millwood and hes making 7 mill this year for 1 year...he wont be back next year so just trade him and belliard for soriano if thats possible...if we did that i would pee in my pants.

Belliard is a fav of mine he can get on base Blake and Boone suck so Boone is hittin .450 he batted .170 for 4 months screw him and anytime its a crucial situation with risp Blake whiffs its guaranteed, it's like asking if the sun will come up, with risp he will strike out.

i would like to stick with boone but move blake...hey i love belliard but lets face it hes not playing like he did during his contract year last year.

You don't think that might just be because he missed over a year without taking a swing, do you? People, myself included, didn't realize how difficult it would be for him to come back from that.

I really like Boone, have since we signed him. Even when he was struggling, you could see he was trying to at least get the little things right. Blake would be good in the Jose Hernandez role, IMO.

I detest Belliard. He is lazy, doesn't run things out, doesn't hustle. He only plays that deep 2B to try to make up for his true lack of foot speed. He isn't the player he was in his first contract year. Even if it was just renting Soriano, I would be all for getting rid of Belliard, I simply do not like him or the way he plays.

belliard does tend to give up...the other day vs KC saw he was gonna be out at home but still had a chance and just stopped and let the catcher tag him...run the dude over or atleast slide.

we won !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :drink:

great

Dubois homered didn't he? Blah. I'd still rather have Gerut!

why? dubois matched gerut's home run total for all season in 3 games...screw gerut he is a guy who had a good education and for that thinks he knows it all his swing sucks thats why we dealt him.

Gerut is coming off an injury. Gerut has been a solid contributor in the majors for the past 3 seasons. He had 22 homers in his rookie season so we know he is capable of hitting for power. Gerut is a career .265 hitter. Dubois (also in his 3rd major league season) has been back and forth between the minors and majors and has a career avg. of .229.

Not to mention that Gerut is a hell of a fielder - I think we lost a potential gold glover. Dubouis is 6'5" 220 lbs...I doubt he can play the field that well.

gerut doesnt have a hit for the cubs...atleast dubois has 2 hits...we needed power and the at bat before the homer ichiro caught it with his back against the wall.

Gerut was a solid contributor ONE of those three seasons. He other two years he had next-to-no power, mediocre BA, and was very good in the field. However, a Gerut-Sizemore-Crisp OF wouldn't have cut it as far as for power.

Throughout his career, that is the ONLY year in which Gerut has hit more than 11 HRs in a season. Of his 22 HRs, 7 came against one of the worst pitching staffs in major league history (DET).

This is DuBois second year in the majors, last year he was a September call-up for the Cubs. In his minor league career DuBois was a .301 hitter, compared to .290 for Gerut, who only topped .300 once in his minor league career, for 55 games at Buffalo in 2002. DuBois has multiple times the power, and while we are losing defense from Gerut, if it is simply the 4th outfielders defense, I'm not that worried about it.

Gerut's .265 BA would is just .258 over the past two years with 12 HRs. DuBois has 8 major league HRs this year, and that is without consistent playing time.

^^ good facts. I guess I would just personally have Gerut because he showed some flashes of being a very good player. I just have that gut feeling he'll end up turning into a hell of player after we gave up on them AKA a Brian Giles, Jeromy Burnitz, Richie Sexson, the list could go on forever...
