Midseason Prospect Rankings

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
FWIW, I believe we drafted a Kyle Blair from a Cali college a few years back and he flamed out quickly.
yeah.. but this guy is an ant eater.. you don't never mess with no ant eater...

Juaron Watts-Brown

Long Beach State
JWB broke out in his first full season in the Dirtbag rotation showing off his tantalizing skillset and upside as a starter. JWB has a highly projectable frame with long limbs and loose and easy arm action. His entire operation is smooth and effortless, boding well for a future starting role. He has feel for a standard four-pitch mix all with distinct shape. His FB has high IVB while averaging around seven feet of extension from a sub five VAA. Both of his breaking balls have distinct shape, from a tight slider to a hammer 11/5 curveball. The biggest question for him is his fastball velocity. He sat 89-92 MPH with his heater in 2022 so going forward its worth watching if he can increase his overall arm strength and physical durability. Aside from that JWB has all the traits to pop on the national scene as one of the top college pitchers
Is this for next year's draft?

Updated MLB Pipeline Rankings. EspinGOAT 16 which is as low as I've seen him in the recent ranking updates, but he was one of MLB Pipeline's highest risers.

Valera 32
Gavin 56
Rocchio 72
NayGOAT Jr.78

Bibee finally gets some love as our #8 prospect, but then they talk about his ceiling as a 3/4th starter. lol. Maybe if 1-3 are EspinGOAT, BieGOAT, and TMac. But in a normal rotation, IMO he has TOR potential.

Thots? @Gson

There's a lot to like about Bibee.. if nothing else, he throws all his pitches for strikes, where he wants them to be strikes. IOW.. tremendous command and control.. Does this mean he's not a "LABEL" TOR/BOR/MOR ? nope.. seldom is a staff ace lauded as a staff ace because of command.. it's usually a weapon.. Well, Bibee doesn't have one specific weapon that he can rely on no matter what.. He's got more effort in his delivery than some pitching savants want.. (me too).. He hides the ball from his glove through to the point of release.. It's a little bit of deception.. but nothing "weapon-nee"... Mid to perhaps higher in a rotation is a pretty darn good end result.. btw.. or about where his trajectory would be highest..

MLB ranks our farm system 3rd tonight (Aug. 22). Orioles first, Dodgers 2nd, Reds 4th.

The Guardians excel at signing talented young hitters and helping pitchers take their stuff to another level. José Ramírez and Shane Bieber are the best big league examples, and all five of their Top 100 Prospects fall into one of those two categories. The system should make a huge impact in Cleveland shortly, with 13 of its 15 best prospects having reached Double-A or higher.

Royals 21st, Tigers 22nd, Twins 23rd, White Sox 26th. Sweet.
