That's right... and both were closer to the play. Tony Brothers was on the other end of the floor, nowhere near the action.
Yeah but Mauer is notorious for being biased against LeBron.Ken Mauer called the charge on the floor.. it was Brothers that demanded the replay. But I suppose Mauer could have declined to change his call and yet didn't?
Thing is .. he's ALLOWED to be in motion to protect himself from the contact.. he was in front of Durant before he took off, and he's outside the restricted area.
So there was no reason for the replay, and the replay showed he was outside of the restricted area. Being in motion does not preclude being in legal defensive position as the ESPN ref made clear. He was in legal position.
As I see it, Tony Brothers requested the replay and argued James was "in motion" and thus, it was a blocking foul overruling the two other refs on the floor.
Golden State just got carried in back to back games by the league/refs.
Why? What is so appealing about them? Just let them fucking win games on their own
Yeah but Mauer is notorious for being biased against LeBron.
He made the call on the floor as a charge. I think Malloy called block. Brothers insisted on the review.
They all had a stake in it.
But simply, in an NBA Finals with 30 seconds left, as soon as you see his feet aren’t in the restricted area, that should have been enough.
"we got robbed you gonna let them rob you again"Anyway, this was deflating.
No idea how Lue gathers them up for Game-2 though! Sigh!
4 Hall of Famers in their primes and they can't beat the CP3-less Rockets or the LeBronaliers without the refs fixing the fucking game.
This league is a complete & utter disgrace.
Manufactured a dynasty of cunts. What a league.
Garbage. G A R B A G E
"A lot of mistakes were made but Adam Silver should fire those three officials and rescind the Warriors win in Game 1 and give the win to the Cavs because THEY WON THAT GAME. #CavsVsWarriors #nbafinals2018
Bring both teams back out tomorrow.
Brothers was in the back court. The one area where you can’t see.... yet he asks for the review. Two refs called it a charge, so I believe Malloy was the second one that called it a charge. Brothers asked for the review. Mauer agreed to reverse the call, which is probably why they're saying he was chiefly responsible.
