Not fair.

A week ago team was losing, Lebron was getting on his case and Mike Brown was being attacked by posters from every direction.

Three very good wins and he gets none of the credit?

About the only comments on Brown after last night's game were he failed to use Z in final three minutes. At the time I had the same thought, but he stuck with what was working and it paid off. So give him credit, not blame.
Maybe they win anyhow following our advice, but we can't prove that.

As one who has preached stay with a hot unit until they cool off, I think he has done that often lately with good results.

Earlier it seemed he stuck to a pre-determined substitution pattern regardless of the ebb and flow of the game, who was hot and who was not.

I think he has split the minutes very wisely lately with Z, Gooden and AV getting the bulk up front, LBJ, Hughes, Sasha, a Rejuvenated Snow and Gibson at guard and wing.

Donyell seems to be getting the message, making good use of the limited minutes he is getting.

DJ should be well rested for the three point contest. Now if he could only get passing grades in a defense, passing, move without the ball contest he might have value beyond very limited situations.

Significantly, Brown no longer gets a panic attack every time Lebron is on the bench and has figured out that he is not coaching Lebron and the Eleven dwarfs.

He was not afraid to sit Lebron for the first five minutes of the fourth quarter last night. A good result was that Lebron seemed to have more energy down the stretch instead of lagging as he had in some previous games.

Two coaching tests remain, one immediate, the other long range. The first will be to mix up defenses against Utah's pick and roll, rather than sticking only to the standard switch which is so often an ineffective tactic.

Finally, can he avoid having a showdown with Lebron and still convince him that much of the time he would be best by giving up the ball quickly and moving to a better position for a return pass?

Those remain to be seen. However, for the moment Brown desrves much better than a passing grade.

Had you known weeks ago that Lebron would have a long stretch of games ranging from adequate at best to inadequate would you not have been happy with the Cavs' current position in the standings?

I think we somehow have to rectify the situation wuth members posts that are being removed in this manner ...

If Cavs get (keep) it together and reach NBA finals will MB be coach of the year?

Or will Lebron insist he was coaching all along?

PS: Why do my new threads, seemingly timely and relevant just seem to be hidden away?
