I'd just rather give an end of bench role to a guy who is older than a younger player who needs development time. I kind of don't like giving the end of the bench role to a young player IF I can help it...

Regardless of what you know, you don't need to talk down to people, that's the whole issue here... IF you don't agree cool, but you don't have to talk down to them is all...

But choosing not to antagonize, escalate, or get into petty back and forths(no matter is the other person is biting or even started it) will go a long way

Do your job correctly and evenly or don't do it at all.

Here's the issue:

You broke the contract--so it no longer protects you.

When everyone here agrees to act with civility, and you breach that, you're no longer protected by that agreement.

If everyone else is able to discuss ideas, and you begin with ad hominems, you don't get to complain when people call out your ad hominems instead of debating solely baseball ideas.
