Early start in Erie for Akron..

So far so good. Shane McCarthy sharp so far & RDucks bats are producing.

Currently 2-0 RDucks in bottom of the 3rd.

Benson solo blast and Ty Freeman with RBI single.

I doubt Bo Naylor will be catching but you never know.

The struggles for Lynchburg continue.

Josh Wolf did start but allowed 4 runs (all earned) on 4 hits & 1 walk in the 1st.. 26 pitches/ 17 strikes. Final run scored via steal of home.

I'm starting to wonder if the early Hillcat success was more a function of how bad the opponent was. Fredrickburg is still winless (0-10) thru Friday 5/14 & the parent org (WASH) is still single digit in victories (9-31 so far)

LC throwing a no hitter into the 6th. Hickman pitched 6, 2BB 7K. Ocker on now. Bad news is LC has only 1 single of their own. Score 0-0

Lynchburg plays later.

Akron tied 5-5 in the 3rd. Lingos chased out of the game and Oscar Gonzalez cranked a 3 run homer.. Oscar showing a lot of HR power in the early going.. Interesting.

Columbus up 3-1. Guess who hit a 2B in their 1st at bat? Give you a hint, it is Owen Miller. Lavarnway hits a 2 run run bomb and Bradley with a solo shot.
