Most of us do not like this team! Why ?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I just don't think Hill is comfortable enough to be that aggressive. He really doesn't get the ball in his hands enough either. LeBron has taken the bulk of the point guard duties because of the short timespan to come together.

Lebron was letting Rose get alot of touches in the beginning of the season.
I wonder if that's a trust issue because Hill is far from a rookie

It’s like watching cancer patient struggle, you love them but you feel a lot of fear and sadness and when it progresses too far you hope it ends quickly. Blah, I refuse to give them the palliative status. They will battle this trough, but we need to change the therapy for the future(Lueout is the first prescription).

In a less dark parallel, we all know we had some great opportunity, maybe the GOAT LeBron, but we didn’t come trough as glorious as we could and we had a few things going against us. LeBron still has a few above average seasons in him, so I hope he stays and we finish this of like he deserves.

I blame coaches for all things outside injuries. We don’t jave an identity and they don’t have the team ready to play regardless of what LeBron is doing.

All in all the feeling of the end closing in is definitely creeping on me and it’s not something too look forward to in the NBA. Even for the GOAT franchises, the down years (decades mostly) are terrible.

I have been a die-hard Cavs fan my whole life. Most on a site like this are in a similar boat.

But, honestly, yeah... I don’t like this team at all anymore. I really don’t.

Sure, I hope we win. But when we don’t, I turn it off and it doesn’t even affect me anymore. Playoff losses used to ruin my nights and following days. Now, I don’t even care.

Likeability? Sure. RJ gone. Frye gone. JR acting like a diva now. Thompson a huge douchebag and gone Hollywood. A quirky Kyrie who I used to like watching turns into a traitor.

We have the title. You can’t take that away.

Effort? Yep, this is part of it. They just don’t care. Why should I? They literally pushed us away.

Coaching? Yep, this is part of it. Tye Lue has never been a good coach. I’m so tired of his answer always being “Be more aggressive” when we have schematic issues. He’s a dope.

LeBron? We talk about him leaving so much with certainty that I’m actually at a point that I can’t wait. I don’t care anymore.

A young shitty team has me excited. Caring about the draft again. Looking at our lineup grow.

LeBron is perhaps the best player of all-time. However, it’s hard to love LeBron sometimes. He loves himself too much. I can’t stand that every single thing is always about him. Every interview, "My leadership. My talent and skill. I made that play because my IQ is off the charts--I'd explain it but you aren't capable of understanding."

Don’t get me wrong. I’m grateful as shit for the title and for him coming home. I respect the greatness. However, I’m damn tired of putting up with him bragging how humble he is. He can’t even do an interview anymore without sucking his own cock. If we are no championship contender and he’s 33, whatever, may as well just say it.

Maybe I’m just mad because he holds the organization hostage and refuses to actually commit long term. That keeps us from being all the way in.... because he isn’t. If you like NE Ohio and the fans, what’s so hard in signing on?

The uncertainty of this team makes them hard to latch onto in general.

So, no. I’m not going to plan my evening around watching tomorrow. I might turn it on if it’s close in the second half. I’m just not emotionally invested.

I’m way more invested in the Browns right now... and they are 1-31 the last two years.

I don’t feel a damn bit bad about it. It’s the team’s fault.

He doesn't care about or like Cleveland sports fans. You're talking about a guy that grew up in this area and opted to root for the Yankees, Cowboys, and Bulls. Let's also not forget that, back in 2010, he knew the history of sports heartache in this city (and how all the moments were accompanied with "The" monikers), knew he was leaving, and still made the conscious choice to label his announcement "The Decision." He didn't care about the fans then, doesn't care about the fans now, and certainly won't care about the fans when he skips town for the second time in eight years this July.

The horrid coaching is the #1 thing to me. I feel hopeless with Lue and Longabardi butchering everything with this team. This defense is a total disgrace. Yes, some of it is effort, but most of it is the stupidity of this system that has worked NOWHERE. We actually have some pretty good man to man defenders in here, but they are not allowed to just do their thing. Instead we run a ridiculously overcomplicated system of switches which no one seems to understand.

Losing Kyrie was a gigantic blow, and clearly the attempt to bring in Thomas, Crowder, and Rose was a massive fail. But after the midseason trade we brought in a lot of very solid role players. This team could be so much more with a coach who wasn't totally clueless. Zizic and Cedi should have been getting minutes all season and should be growing into important backup roles as some of the veteran players are losing steam.

TT should have been glued to the bench after the trades but Lue kept forcing his stupid, embarrassing ass back in. Hell we tried to trade him for anything and literally everyone laughed in our face at the notion. The guy is a dogshit player and a dogshit human being. I'm not even joking when I say I wish someone would Tonya Harding his ass.

JR sucked for most of the year as well, but I will give him somewhat of a pass with his situation at home and the fact that he did get it going towards the end of the season and made some shots in that playoff game, more than we can say for most of the team. Green shouldn't be starting, and he just is what he is, he has never been a consistent performer, but he can provide much needed athleticism and defense off the bench when Lebron rests. Only Lue would be stupid enough to start him at C.

As you can see, it keeps coming back around to the coaching staff for me. Losing Kyrie truly sucked, but what really sucks about it is how badly it has exposed Lue as one of the worst coaches in the NBA. The players we have here should be able to still make a serious run at a championship with the right coaching and some semblance of a system. Thats what is so disappointing. I have zero hope of winning it all and it comes down to coaching.

And switching everything on defense every time is just stupid. Makes no sense, worst defensive scheme I've ever seen. It burns us every time. Our players looked confused on defense and they should. It's nonsensical.

Honestly, if I could fix one issue with the entirety of this team, it would be this! The stupidity of this switching scheme doesn't get discussed often enough.

The only person I've heard call them out on it is Austin Carr. He'll say things during the broadcast like "why are you switching when you don't need to?" It's so fucking dumb that if two players do as much as walk by each other on offense, we switch it.

It allows the offense to seek out mismatches effortlessly. Not only that but it makes our defense predictable, and allows guys to get in a rhythm against us. The reason you play one-on-one and hedge is to keep the offense guessing when and if the help will come. Like AC says, we make all-stars out of average players every night, because our defense is so damn simplified for them to attack.

I just can't make sense of it, only to say that Lue is damn idiot!

Sorry man, I don't see it. Obviously he cannot please everyone, but I do think he has a soft spot for this area and you could tell in his emotions when we won it in 2016 that it was special to him. He does love Northeast Ohio.

It was very shitty the way he handled leaving the first time. He was immature and he did screw us over by waiting until we had missed out on most of free agency. Seems to me he just hates Gilbert and did it pretty much to screw him over personally. Foolishly he did not expect the level of backlash from Clevelanders or nationally. I think he learned that lesson and came back to try to make it right. Winning in 2016 made it right IMHO.

I think he is very likely leaving at this point. I don't blame him and this time there will be no ill will from me, and I assume from most fans. Kyrie leaving pretty much cemented it.

I'm pretty sure they butted heads occasionally, but Gilbert worshiped LeBron the first time. He did everything possible to let his friends have roles and travel with the team. It was unprecedented how accommodating he was. He loved LeBron.

In fact, I think that's why Gilbert took it so hard and wrote the letter/said some poor things about LeBron behind closed doors. He felt dumped. He was emotionally invested.

Sure, since then, they have a terrible relationship. It's all business. However, pre-The Decision, I don't think LeBron had a beef with Dan and did any type of TV special to screw him over. That was purely LeBron fanning the flames of his own ego.

The Pat Riley article on ESPN last week was an interesting read because it described in detail the mindset LeBron had while scheming his way out (up beat/confident he could handle the hype/negativity) and the aftermath of Gilbert's letter where according to Riley he looked physically shaken with his body slumped (I don't think the word betrayal is used in an un-ironic manner if nothing but hate existed between them). This IMO supports your argument about LeBron and Gilbert having a good or at least an amicable relationship pre-decision and just demonstrates that his friends got in his head about the stupid show he did. Him coming back to Dan Gilbert was strictly business (he echoed this on twitter a few days ago after Deion Sanders tweeted about Dez Bryant) and Dan has taken the high road since his return while continuing to keep his promise of spending historically to field a competitive team.

From a PR standpoint this has been a great year filled with countless personal milestones on a team that has taken a huge step back. We've had nothing but locker room issues and poor on court performances + terrible coaching. No sane person will blame LeBron for leaving Lue, JR, TT, Green and the rest of the inconsistent bunch behind after losing Kyrie.

There is no heart on the team. Delly, Frye, Jefferson, and even Kyrie at least on the court had passion. I think it is the thing that people criticize Lebron over compared to MJ. That passion. We don't really have that Anderson, Delly guy except for Cedi. They really need his enthusiasm I think.

WE see them unlock this occasionally, but then Lue quashes it. He seems to specifically hide good lineups because they don't agree with what he is already thinking.

Lmao Kyrie had more passion than LeBron??? Kyrie is still the same guy who had one foot out the door until that contract extension and shunned his own teammates during the 2017 playoffs. Kyrie was an antagonist if anything. I don't believe he ever planned on staying in Cleveland or liked playing here. LeBron left then came back. Kyrie is not coming back. He couldn't even bother to finish his contract. LeBron is leaving but will retire as a Cav. Only Cleveland will be able to say the GOAT (or second best player ever) retired with them. Kyrie will not retire as a Cav. I'd be shocked. Has he even spoken anything positive about CLE since leaving?

How is it horrid coaching when Gilbert has yet to prove in 15 f’n years he can not and should not make a single decision regarding anything related to basketball what so ever. I wish he just sell the team so we all could have a fresh start. And wtf happened to this amazing casino the asshole promised ? Just his way of funding his hobby’s including the Cavs and sucking NE Ohio fans of hard earned $$$. Leave Ohio please. We all have been swindled by a loan shark and he’s laughing to the bank every day.

I find myself looking forward to next year and watching young guys that want play and play hard with passion.
This team hasn't done that all year. I could watch a team with Cedi/Ante/Mikal Bridges and whoever else they can get
for the assets they have. I feel kinda stupid that we may never sniff the finals again in my lifetime but I find myself a bit worn out
of the whole Lebron drama every year and overpaid players that don't give a shit anymore.

Not to defend LeBron. I think lot of that was his following favorite players of his as a kid.

Emmitt Smith, Michael Jordan, I take it Derek Jeter? He was fans of them. That's what made him a fan of those teams.

Look, I don't like the Decision either. And honestly, I'll be blunt. I think LeBron is an asshole. I do. I don't really care for him personally.

But I'll say this. He NEVER had to come back here. He did US a favor, more than him.

Let's not pretend there wasn't a ton of drama here without him. The Kyrie and Waiters feud. The Mike Brown debacle.

LeBron can go anywhere in the league, and that team is a contender. Sure, having Kyrie Irving and us trading Love didn't hurt. This isn't a charity.

But, he could have picked other teams, teams that are better. And they'd be sitting right now where we are.

I just don't buy he doesn't give a shit, at all, about the fans/people here. Just because he followed childhood idols of his growing up and decided to root for those teams.

That doesn't make him heartless, or not care about people in his area, or where he's from.

I honestly don't give a shit who he roots for in other sports.
