Dear Cleveland sports fan,

#6 is about to win an NBA Championship, which means you'll soon be hit with a bevy of national media articles talking about how he was right to leave the Cavs and how Cleveland wasn't good enough for him. We know neither is true, but it won't matter to them. They'll also look to point and laugh at our bitterness in watching him celebrate, and make snide remarks about our city.

Do me a huge favor - ignore it all. Don't give them that reaction. Don't give #6 the attention he so desperately craves. Ignore the NBA altogether until the #4 pick comes up in the NBA Draft. Instead, let's get behind our first place Cleveland Indians. Let's show support for our young star players - guys like Kyrie Irving, Trent Richardson, Asdrúbal Cabrera, and Joe Haden.

I know it's hard to believe with what we've gone through, but our time will come. One of the three teams is going to break through and get us our Championship. And when one does, downtown Cleveland is going to become the biggest party in the world. Your loyalty will pay off and you'll feel a type of joy a front-running fan will never know, and our players will receive a lifelong appreciation that #6 will never know.

Go Tribe, Go Cavs, and Go Browns!

Cleveland...freaking...rocks!

This...still? We have Kyrie and our New Hope. The Miami Empire Striked Back this year.

Return of the Cavaliers will follow soon enough.

This x100.

I'm not going to ignore the NBA. Anyone that didn't understand that Miami eventually winning a title (maybe multiple) was very possible just wasn't being realistic. They have James, Wade, Bosh and -- to me -- exactly the kind of complimentary point guard that you need with a team like that in Chalmers. They are loaded... And this may not be the last one they win.

I've hoped that OKC could beat them just like everyone else, but they aren't quite ready and Miami is going to win this thing.

All of that said, I'm really not finding myself very bitter about it at all. Last year? Different story. Emotions were still raw and James was basically taunting us all year. Now? I'm more focused on what the Cavs are doing than what the Heat are doing.

Draft in a few weeks, guys. It's a good time to be a Cavs fan.

Like Brandon Weeden? Oh wait a minute...

I just hope that we have something someday..... it sucks when an asshole will be rewarded for being an asshole........man it sucks living here in cleveland.

It will be a relief after the initial shit storm. I know I'm ready to stop rooting against LeBron's first ring. It was exhausting and we all knew it wasn't going to last. Might as well get it over with so we can focus on our young budding team. The draft following so closely behind LeBron winning the title is going to be our saving grace.

LeBron Is such fools gold.... He Is no Kobe, Jordan, Shaq.... ect. Yet he Wins just one ring and most the media will boast him up there with them. The reason he should never win a ring Is because of that. Half of us are forced to watch ESPN at times "god help us" and I am sure all basketball season the off season and even next year that Is all you will hear about. Meaning This Cavs team better do something and fast or BIG, Like take out Miami In a play-off series and or Win more ring than the LeBron heat team. If you think about It our team Is the only up and coming team In the east and I am sure the WW.... eh NBA knows this. This Is being set up for a Cavs, Heat Rivial. As for our other teams they have no affect on LeBron winning a ring however for all teams to be winning at once would make the media eat Crow and put us back on the map. So hopefully the guys stated In the Original Post will be the faces of winning for this city for years to come.

This reminds of the first time Lebron came back to Cleveland and after we were blown out it was a relief and one less thing to worry about. Back then we had no future and now we do. Even further, the Browns Tribe and especially the city has gotten better, so yeah it'll suck for days and maybe weeks, but I guess we will have to embrace tr good things we have here a opposed the good things we don't have.

LeBron might win a title, but he's still a loser to me. All is still good.

Blah I moved on a long time ago. Frankly I don't who I hate more Lebron or the OKC owners. Modell in my mind still reeks as a Cleveland villain far more then Lebron ever will (or should once the Decision fades in time and not fresh in everyone's mind). Losing a team is a lot worse then losing a player and those OKC guys screwed over a city that was a true basketball town.

It took Miami deceiving the officials and gaining critical points off of free throws to win this. What other way would you expect a cheating colluding team to win?

I hope Dan Gilbert and the competition committee completely anally rapes Miami and their bag of shady tricks.

It's going to be sickening listening to the media twist this. Our society and world are going to hell.

The only way that I will have any closure this summer is if the Cavaliers draft Michael Kidd Gilchrist, a hard working guy that will eventually be a big time factor in a playoff series. A guy that truly cares about the game and will sacrifice himself for the good of his team minus all this hollywood bullshit.

I submit that having a hometown guy quit in the middle of title chase (for a losing city), and then disgrace the fanbase in front of the world is every bit as bad, just in a different way -- but arguably more brutal.

That said, while I will never root for him to win another game, I do think that he has matured and showed some humility lately -- even if its just part of PR move. Hopefully, he continues to grow up.
