NBA Finals | Game 1 | Cavs (0-0) @ Warriors (0-0) | June 1, 2017 | 9:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

@Czvosec see what I mean? This is a very arrogant, self-delusional, and self entitled team.

Would not be surprised if they came out relaxed, in chill mode, and just expecting to win like the pompous pieces of shit that they are. That they can just turn it on when they feel like it.

These clowns never learn that they're going against the best player by far in this generation.

I really think LB is going to have a great, great game and will us to a win.

As Tony Soprano once said -- "Nobody Knows Anything" (season 1, episode 11).

All the statistics nerds, talking heads, talk show geniuses and ex-jocks don't know anything either. Neither of these teams has been tested since June 2016. Our team is playing better than a year ago; GSW added Durant. GSW say they had Green out in Game 5 last year; we say no Love in 2015 and no Kyrie games 2-6 (but we did go up 2-1).

We'll all find out soon enough. In the meantime, the fact that none of us know anything -- makes this even better.

Sopranos reference... NICE

If that Windy quote doesnt light a fire under your ass, nothing will.

I think the Cavs win this game. I predicted them winning in 6, and I think this is the perfect game to land the first blow. GS should be a little rusty out of the gate (I hope anyways)

Come out firing on all cylinders, get good contributions from our big 3. Play respectable defense.

I have a feeling Korver is going to have a breakout game. I hope I'm right. I am nervous; won't lie.
I hope you're right too, man.

My prediction (cop out?): Cavs either lose in 5 or win in 6. And I have no sense for which I feel is more likely. Being honest - that's all I got.

Those comments by Windy on their mindset, that just really irks. I don't even think it's just confidence, it's arrogance.

I think it's pretty disrespectful to LeBron. I have no problem that they are confident they are going to win this series. I get it, you should be. Especially a team as talented as them.

Some history GS assholes. LB took your team, 67 win team, and a great team IMO to 6 games without 2 all-stars on the floor.

Last year, he came back and beat you idiots 3 straight times (two in your building).

Now, you're going to be so arrogant and audacious to expect a "quick" series.

The arrogance of this fucking team is unreal.

They thought the same thing last year. I say let them keep thinking that way.

Still doesn't change my opinion that I think they come out like gangbusters, nor do I think a gs win tonight ends the series. It's not over until someone wins four games.

That's where I'm at.

I really hope LeBron caught wind of those comments. Because, I think that's blatantly disrespectful to him. He must be thinking, wtf, do you guys know who I am?

I really think LB will be lit up tonight. There's literally no pressure on us. Everyone in their mother is picking GS, a lot, and even they, expect a quick series.

LeBron can just go out there and once again say F U to the doubters, which I think he thrives on doing a lot now at this point.

Honestly, say what you want about Phil Jackson, but - outside of 2004 - he never let his Bulls or Lakers teams get this arrogant. Sure, a lot of that had to do with the mind games he played with the players, but that's why they were so dominant.

The only time I can remember one of Jordan's Bulls teams being cocky like this was after going up 3-0 on the Sonics. And frankly, those Bulls teams still had an ego.

That's to say nothing about the other dynasty during my lifetime. The Spurs have never been arrogant once. Pop will not allow it and that's why they are easy to root for.

It's what has prevented me from liking the Warriors. I find the way they play entertaining, Durant and Curry are amazing players (arguably the two best shooters in NBA history), and Steve Kerr is a great dude (side-story, his dad's work in the ME is a role model for me and his brother used to be my doctor when I was a kid). But I just can't fucking stand how arrogant this team is. Jordan and Kobe were arrogant, but their teams/coaches held them in check. Not with the Warriors.

Ugh. I hope we fucking crush them.

My heart may stop before 9.

Hell, I'd be cocky too if basically every time I hit the slightest bit of adversity, the other team's best players got hurt or choked and then joined me the following year. :chuckle:

I watch how this team acts, and I cannot figure out for the life of me why everyone doesn't hate them.

I mean, Cavs fans hate them. A few rivaling teams hate them. However, twitter loves them. The media loves them.

These bunch of fuckers should be loathed by everyone aside from their fair-weather front-running punk-ass twat group of a fan base.

Let's get with the hate, America. I'm disappointed in you.

A lot of fans of other teams hate LeBron because he's been dominating their teams for so long. This is especially true of fans of East teams.

That said, browsing RealGM the majority of fans of other teams seem to be rooting for the Cavs due to Durant going to the Warriors. The exception appears to be Lakers fans, and they are mostly anti-LeBron because they don't want to admit he's passed Kobe on the GOAT list.
