I’m so happy I essentially boycotted this game. After game 1, in my mind, there was just no way these guys could gather themselves to compete for 48 minutes. All the smart money in Vegas tonight was on the GS cover with good reason.
I doubt I watch game 3 either....it’s going to be a while before I have enough trust in the NBA to make it worth my time.
I’m really hoping for a huge ratings drop from Game 1 to Game 2. I think it’ll be relatively significant. I think there are more fans out there like me than most assume as well. After this finals, I think the NBA has a massive credibility problem they will need to overcome.
Pushing propaganda pieces through ESPN isn’t a great look either. Smart fans cut right through that bullshit when an honest league would say....”ya know, we fucked up down the stretch of game 1”. It’s sad the best player in the world is seemingly punished every game, for all I can fathom, is the city he plays in? But then again, he didn’t get a lot of help in Miami....I’m not sure what it is, but if I were LeBron, beyond figuring out where I want to play next year, I’d take a hard look at exactly what he wants to do. Holding the NBA’s feet to the fire would be really smart IMO.
He could push a narrative about a switch to NFL. He could spark interest by saying he wants to play goalkeeper in London (he has ownership in Liverpool, and with 6-12 months of training he’d prob be the best goalie in the world). He could state he wants a season of rest and to figure out what he wants.
But above all else he should make the NBA HQ collective asses pucker....they don’t deserve what he’s brought to the game. They treat him like shit....guy can’t get a fucking call while they elevate the biggest bitch in the NBA Kevin Durant, to above Jordan status. I’m honestly not sure how LeBron even stays on the court at times.....there are so many moments throughout his career, where I’d just walk directly off the court and into the locker room and say “fuck it tonight....I’m not putting up with this shit”.
