It's one game...

I remember similar things being said about Rondo when the Big 3 was formed. Now he is one of the best players in the league. Just saying don't write it off as just one game, but at the same time don't put a ton of stock in it. Cole has a big opportunity, and he is taking advantage of it.

I think he'll be a good PG. Not great, but good. With Wade and the rest of his supporting cast, a PG in Miami just needs to take care of the basketball and hit open jumpers. He can certainly do just that. I think his normal production will lie somewhere between his first game and tonight, which is nothing to sneeze at.

Cole is perfect for Miami. However, put switch him with Kyrie, Brandon Knight, or Kemba Walker (i.e. places where he has to run the show), and he'd struggle.

I think he'll be a good PG. Not great, but good....He can certainly do just that.

I see this is exactly the problem. He could be a cheap upgrade on Chalmers. Not saying he is going to be all that, or that a good preseason and decent performances in the first two games will tell the tale. But I don't want them to pick up cheap pieces that help fill holes or upgrade their roster.

If he is just "good", I still see that as a very bad thing. :thumbdown

Mario looked god awful in the Heat game. I wouldn't be suprised if Cole starts soon. He should at least. However, he might come off the bench and have a good shot at 6th man of the year.

One more thing he can do is defend, which is Chalmers' forte as well -- and that's what's gonna keep Cole on the floor ultimately. So proud, so sad.
