New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Master of None season 2... Just about perfect. Episodes 1, 4, 5, 8 and 9 are some of the highlights for me. It's got of Atlanta in the sense that an episode will focus on a serious central topic and make some hilarious yet really truthful and touching scenes out of it. I'm usually not a fan of episodic shows, but Aziz Ansari does it about as well as you possibly can here.

Let me piggy back on this. Master of None is easily one of the best Netflix Originals. Season 2 is better than season 1. Episode 1 of season 2 was incredible. The food porn is ridiculous. They need a cookbook. Aziz is underrated.

I liked season 1.

Aziz is funny enough, but his philosophy is interesting and he seems like an ok enough guy

The Thanksgiving episode in particular was one of the most touching and funny comedy eps I've ever seen. It covers sexuality, family, friendship, being a minority in the USA... It'll be an upset if that doesn't win an emmy.

Really wasnt a huge fan of the Matt episode of Leftovers. i know this recent one was emotionally, but it didnt land for me.

Nora went too far overboard, I never really cared for Laurie or her arc. Matt's cancer came on too strong. eh.

Prepaid insurance is unearned revenue. Think you legally have to refund

Brilliant episode.

Knew we would get another other world episode, everyone loved it last season. This was much better than the previous.

And.. Deep. Hit home. Teared up.

Love Norah. She reminds me of some people. It's good to see her fun, twisted, personality back.

I dont know if anything can top last season finale. But the finales have been simply awesome, and this is the big one. I cannot wait, but I don't want it to come either.

You guys should check out Fortitude. Just saw the two hour premier last night and it was pretty good. It's basically a murder mystery set in a small town in the Arctic where polar bears are a threat to the point where carrying a rifle is the law. A US fed stationed in Britain (Stanley Tucci) is brought in to help with and/or handle the case. Solid first episode.

Mrs. Tip and I started watching this last night, and ended up blazing through 5 episodes. I generally don't like most scripted dramas, but this has been really good. A bit like Fargo but with more depth, and without the weird whimsy.

I liked the episodes in italy the most.. he is just so much funnier when he speaks italian. Just finished watching episode 6.

I like shows that try to show the tough dating world today for the ones that don't have the perfect looks.. it's tough. When you add humour to it, it's perfect.

Man seeking woman is not a bad show either.

Im going to guess, because it's specific insurance, that it's nonrefundable because it violates a rider or exclusion.

They're forcing him to keep it because he has no way of guaranteeing no suit arises, and that because it's prepaid, and he violated the contract/exclusion/rider he isn't entitled to it.

If he pays his auto insurance and he leaves early, he isn't entitled to the remainder of his premiums during the term that was paid.

I may be conflating accounting law and actual law. It may be that I'm just addressing the reporting of the income rather than the obligation to refund for unpaid service.

But, i can't see how you can legally enforce someone to pay for a service they do not want. Whether or not he is susceptible to lawsuit in the remaoning months isnt relevant to his wish to cancel and opt to not pay for services for those months, that's his prerogative.

Its contingent upon contract, sure, but I don't believe they mentioned a contract in the show. I would have bought "the price is what it is because you essentially bought a 12 month plan. You are discounted for what is essentially buying the service in bulk. This repudiates that pricing" and then they work out from there.

He paid up front IIRC and wanted a refund of what wouldn't be used.

Agreed on your stance though.

Edit: also, gotta think about the regulations in what I'd presume is early 2000s

three episodes deep in season 5 of HoC; really fucking good...

really hate how OBVIOUS it is Frank wins without an issue. After all the previous shit storms, and the Underwoods promising the fourth wall to create terror, I really think there would have been something big...
