New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Been re-watching some Always Sunny episodes the past few days.

"Charlie Work" is a fucking masterpiece. It has to be one of the tightest-written single episodes of a sitcom I've ever seen. The joke stool payoff at the end is phenomenal.

I also love how "The Gang Tries Desperately to Win an Award" pokes fun at their lack of Emmy nominations.

And "Mac and Dennis Move to the Suburbs" is amazing.

I swear I have no idea how Dennis ( Glenn Howerton )isn't a more established actor? he is fucking talented. Swear he could play the Joker or some shit.

He does a great job as Dennis, but he and everyone else on the show is just completely overshadowed by Charlie Day. He steals every scene he's in and is consistently the funniest character on a show filled with very funny characters. And Day has proven this isn't a fluke. He was the best part of both Horrible Bosses movies and he carried Fist Fight to a far more watchable state than I would have expected based on the previews. Dude is just an amazing comedic actor.

Wait, hold up @David. and the rest of 'The Leftovers' co.... how did you neglect to mention that:

Season 3 takes place in Australia? Nora totally just told Kevin she's heading to Melbourne, Australia (up to episode 2, going onto 3 of season 3). As in, The Leftovers gang is about to watch Cavs games at 11am from an apartment/stereotypical kangaroo outback bungalow down the road from me. That's so bad-ass! As if I needed another reason to be completely invested in this compelling piece of art.

The Defenders is lack luster so far. 5 episodes in and I still can't stand Danny Rand. I don't know if it's the actor or his dialogue. It's awful. The show centers around his character, which is shameful, imo.

I needed something to watch after Game of Thrones to fill the void, but this isn't it.

Agreed all around. Didn't like Defenders. Hate Rand and hate that it revolved around him. Don't care for Jessica Jones either.

I liked that the rest of the defenders treated him like he was an asshole the entire time and just made fun of him.

I don't think I'll finish it. I removed myself from the Iron Fist series 5 episodes in, so this feels right. I also didn't make it through Jessica Jones' series either. But Rand is the absolute worst character of the lot. And I feel as if it's the casting because his lines come out so flat and dumb. I never heard of Iron Fist before his series dropped, but I assume he's supposed to be likable. And he is the most unlikable character.

I couldn't finish Jessica Jones. Iron Fist I did finish...I think because it was so bad I wanted to see if it would ever get better...it didn't :chuckle:

"Oh you fought a dragon?"
I liked him better when he was Loras Tyrell.

Damn bro you flew through that shit.

You probably finished it by now but I don't think s. 3 showed much of Australia at all.

I'm restarting it right now

Ahhhh fair enough, man. I got excited for a minute after seeing that kangaroo get t-boned by a speeding sedan! I actually haven't watched an episode since that post - will try to get through another couple of episodes on Sunday night and will probably finish it next week.
