New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just finished Mad Men (again).

I really loved that show. So many characters had such compelling journeys to me.

I also thought it was one of the best finales out there.

Now I need something new.

Something besides:
  • Lost
  • Breaking Bad
  • GoT
  • Billions
  • Justified
  • Homeland
  • Curb
  • Veep

Watch the British version of Skins. It might be my favorite TV show ever. Alot of the actors went on to become pretty big movie stars and a couple of them end up in game of thrones. Don't mistakenly watch the US version that was on MTV, it's not good.

The creators of it wanted real teenagers so they tried to get most of the cast thru open casting and without much acting experience. Each cast lasted two seasons and they moved on to a new group. I think it's on Netflix.

Last Chance U Season 3 dropped on Netflix today for those CFB fans out there.

The brawl episode from season 1 was one of the most intense things I’ve seen on tv. I know it’s a new school, but I’m all in on this show.

Best thing on Netflix imo. The setting and characters just comes through in a way that other football shows with different settings can't.

Started SHAMELESS...

Pretty funny so far...and if I knew Emmy Rossum was in it, and I could see her boobs, I would have watched a long time ago.

"This is Aunt Ginger?"
"In the flesh!"
"Ginger has a hard on."
"She was born with a large clitoris!"

Anyone catch "Who is America?" by Sacha Baron Cohen?

I can't believe some of the shit that he gets people to say and do on that show. It's to the point that I would think that it had to be staged, but why would someone on the show say and do the things that they do? Is it the allure of being on camera?

I saw the first episode and found it to be mostly underwhelming. The majority of the segments were just Cohen being an idiot. The only good stuff was near the end when he actually got a bunch of politicians to say some absolutely horrific stuff on camera thinking they were doing an ad or whatever. I thought the humor in most of the previous segments fell pretty flat, but then again outside of Borat I've never found Cohen to be all that funny.

I do like that he found both ridiculous and reasonable people on both sides of the aisle, but the segments themselves just didn't really elicit many laughs, as again it was mostly just Cohen acting like a moron.

Gonna watch tonight, thanks for the reminder.

Who is America is pretty rough so far. I loved Ali G etc. The writers for this are entirely different. Not good so far

Just finished Last Chance U and damn, still one of my favorite shows on TV. Not really sure how I'd rank these different seasons, but each one is so powerful. I'd probably say it goes 2-1-3 for me, but I wouldn't argue with any order.

I’m only through 2 episodes of the new season, still not sure how I feel about this coach just yet.

He gets a lot worse around episode 4, then slowly gets better. This cast of characters is a lot more eclectic than the EMCC seasons, but damn everyone roots hard for Bobby Bruce.

This new Castle Rock show looks pretty interesting

Yeah the new Last Chance U season is solid. I got really sick of the coach about halfway through but didn’t mind him as much by the end.

Malik Henry is just a clusterfuck. You can tell he doesn’t even want to play football.
