I'd rank him 6th, and would seriously consider putting Elway ahead of him.
LMAO WAT

There literally is not an argument out there that Peyton is better than Brady. None. That debate ended so long ago. Peyton had some very talented teams in his career and was pretty consistently a big reason they lost in the playoffs. He threw a ball directly to Ray Lewis to get taken out in the first round his first year in Denver. Literally right at him with the game on the line

14-13 in the playoffs. One of his Super Bowl wins was when he played half the year and it didn’t even matter because the defense could’ve won that Super Bowl with Thad Lewis at QB. He literally threw for 141 yards in the Super Bowl and 176 in be AFC championship game

Only 40 touchdowns in 27 games in the playoffs to 25 picks

He shrunk in the moment time and time again while Brady rose to the occasion time and time again

Literally no argument can exist that Peyton was better. None. Your take offends me with its spice

Literally describes Brady's 1st 3 Super Bowls, and his other 2 were coaching gaffes by opponents.

Manning cameback down 21-6 vs Brady

If this is true, I don't see how any argument could be that Brady is ahead of Montana, Graham and Unitas. Everything that Brady "holds" over Manning, they "hold" over him.

I'd rank him 6th. It is certainly up for debate. But saying he's the GOAT no questions asked is pretty ludicrous, given the arguments people make for him.

Didn't most of Otto Graham's championship appearances occur in an era where the team with the best record was automatically in the championship? And there were anywhere from 8-12 teams in the league?

It's also reasonable for a non-Cavs to say "LeBron is the GOAT, so I'll root for him". But it's be really naive to think every fan SHOULD love LeBron. There are probably many reasonable basketball fans who got sick of LeBron when he was a junior and Nike/ESPN started deifying him. And it would be stupid (IMO, anyways) to tell that person, "Nah, LeBron is great, how could you hate him". There are plenty of reasons to dislike him.

I'm a Cavs fan and appreciate LeBron's greatness and I still fucking hate him half the time. :chuckle:

Yes, although 2x they tied and had to play a tiebreaker playoff.

On the flipside, no free agency and less teams meant less diluted talent, meaning less bad teams than today.

Also, Graham went 10-10 in making the title games, winning 7. He's 9-3 in the playoffs, had the best winning % all time of any QB. Like, regardless of league makeup, if we want to attribute team success to the QB, that seems like a pretty big argument in his favor.

Wouldn't zero free agency make it much easier for a top team to become a dynasty of sorts?

Wouldn't Brady and the Pat's 7 straight AFC Title Game appearances be on a similar playing level being that both weigh heavily on regular season dominance and then winning 1 game?

Graham dominated his time. I just find it much more impressive for someone to dominate in today's age, which Brady has been doing for over 15 years now. The landscape of sports today has made it so difficult to create modern day dynasties; Brady and BB have overcome that.

I see arguments both ways. It might be easier to sustain back then, but with so many mediocre teams now, the threshold of being better than everyone else isn't has a high.

Graham also did it 10 years in a row, winning 7. Brady still has to win 2 more and make another one on top of that just to equal the numbers Graham did, and do it in twice the amount of time. So even if it was easier for Graham, he still did it with way more frequency.

JAX bout to win this damn game

Borltes might be 2-0 in playoffs with road wins over Roethlisberger and Brady.

This makes him top 10 all time, right?

And you know JAX is gonna force a turnover
